Dallas: We Don't Want Avery's Sloppy Seconds

In hockey, you can get a five-minute penalty for fighting, two minutes for high-sticking -- and thrown off your team for making lewd comments about Elisha Cuthbert.

The Dallas Stars say Sean Avery will not be rejoining the team after serving a six-game suspension, saying: "All parties said there is a clear understanding that a return to the Stars is not in the best interest of either the hockey club or Avery."

Avery was originally suspended for his "sloppy seconds" comment about his ex girlfriend, Elisha, that he made to the media during practice.

If you can't be a grown up and have the maturity of at least a 5 year old, maybe you shouldn't be playing a sport millions would die to have the ability/chance to play...along with getting millions a year. 64. As a Dallas fan I for one am glad this ass is gone. I didn't like when he was added and well let's just say watching the Stars will be better because I won't have to watch the cameras focus on him and talk about his latest mess up. I'll be able to watch the game.

66. His manhood must be a size small. If you have to seek out reporters to make an ugly comment about other people and ex's then there is something definitly wrong with you and you live with deep seeded insecurity. I just feel sorry for him. He is a humiliation to himself,his friends and family. If a guy said something like that and it was about me it would not matter who in the hell that person was, afterwards they would look like a jig saw puzzle with a couple of pieces gone. He should be grateful all he gets is fired.

67. he totally deserves it!
this isnt the first time he's said/done something like this
(ie. making a rude remark about TML jason blake fighting leukemia, calling another player a derogatory name, or physically fighting with fans!! the last goes on...)
this guy needs help. he's a dirty player and has a bad temper.
i hope they trade him to the minor leagues or europe!

68. Personally this is LONG overdue!!! Being a BIG hockey fan and watchin the loud mouth bugger for years I'm glad that someone has finally stepped up and handed him what he deserves!!! Avery has been fined, and suspended many times before for his mouth. About time!! If Dallas didn't do something I am sure the Dion woulda the next time they were in Dallas..... LOL!
