32. Where do you people get your information? I am 42 years old and I get cold sores. Guess what? They are NOT caused because I have been a slut or skank. I just harbor the virus, from unknown origin (and neither of my parents have ever had one but 1 out of 3 of my sisters will occassionally get one) and only get a cold sore if I have been running a fever. When the fever breaks, I get a cold sore on my upper lip, always the same place. It is like that is where the fever exits my body or something. I have been married for 24 years and have kissed my husband when I had a cold sore and he had NEVER gotten one. Herpes Simplex 1 can be transferred to the genitals by oral sex if there is an active outbreak on or in the mouth. Chicken pox is a virus too and I suppose some of you think that you only get those if you are a skank or slut! OMG

33. People...Please, grow some BRAINS. There is more than one type of the herpes virus. They all remain dormant in your body forever....but the one that causes cold sores (and shingles) can be the one that you get simply from contracting CHICKEN POX. Children who have had chicken pox can get cold sores. It does NOT mean you have genital herpes..TWO DIFFERENT TYPES.

36. I get cold sores. I have since I was a kid, and neither of my parents do. My ex-husband told me it was herpes, nice guy, huh? Anyway, even though he kissed me, he never got one. I usually get them, always in the exact same spot on my lip, after or while I'm sick. Two of my 4 children get them - one of them only on his lip, the other on her finger - yeah, its weird, I know. I hate the stigma attached to them. Its bad enough they look disgusting and hurt, but then there's rude idiots who think my children or me are "nasty skanks"

Under a microscope, HSV- 1 and 2 are virtually identical, sharing approximately 50% of their DNA. For both types, at least two-thirds of infected people have no symptoms, or symptoms too mild to notice. However, both types can recur and spread even when no symptoms are present.

Some of you whom say oh I'm not a skank therefore I can't possibly have these let me just tell you I have HSV2 yes that's right HSV2 I got them the first time I ever had intercourse and this person was to be my husband, we were together for years, so thank you very much for your selfish, childish, bias ways. I only hope those whom contract this can ignore people like fairy something or another and that other bias know-it-all and know that no matter what you are a beautiful person inside and out and this does not change who you are! Bad COINCIDENCE, Nicole is going to alot of Red Carpet previews of her misunderstood film 'Australia', where the weather is COLD.An online news report said SHE WASN'T WEARING A COAT for a while AT THIS SHOWING recently, and it's easy to get sick, when you're USED TO THE HEAT, and it's easy to get a cold sore, with FAIR SKIN. As for KATIE she's probably BUSY, and got sick. 'AUSTRALIA' HAS HEART and reminds us WHY WE FELL IN LOVE WITH MOVIES in the first place, people expect something new and perfected when that wasn't even the point of 'Australia'. THE SORE ISN"T THAT BAD, jealous much, Some people WOULDN'T MIND HAVING A COLD SORE WITH THAT FACE.Oh and even if this photo isn't her best, it just shows how relateable she is, NO ONE HAS PERFECT PHOTOS. Finally BOTOX IS COMMON WITH CELEBRITIES, even Angelina Jolie, so PICKING HER OUT is kind of odd. She should play Grace Kelly before it's too late!
