New York Governor David Paterson is a funny, affable guy -- not so much when "Saturday Night Live" ridicules his disability.
He's plenty PO'd at Fred Armisen's depiction of him on Saturday's show. "I can take a joke," he tells the Daily News, but added, "only 37% of disabled people are working and I'm afraid that that kind of third-grade humor certainly adds to his atmosphere."
The "SNL" skit poked fun at his blindness and his admitted coke use back in the day. So far, no comment from the "SNL" crew.

He's famous, so he's fair game. Besides, how can you call Governor Paterson "disabled"? He's extremely intelligent, motivated, and successful. He may have to cope with different obstacles than most of us, but look what he has accomplished!

SNL hs nothing else to do. They really have lost it in the past couple of years. There are no stars now or any funny skits. Long gone are the days of Eddie Murphy, Chevy, Belushi and others. Time to retire SNL.

It's not okay to make fun of someone just because they are republican. Sarah Palin got made fun of because she wanted to be the VP but knew nothing about our country ("Hey there, I think the VP is in charge of the senate"). And McCain was senile enough to think she'd make a good running mate. They also poke fun at Obama quite a bit on SNL. These people aren't being made fun of because they are one thing or the other, they are being made fun of because of the idiotic incidents they get into. Republicans want to believe so badly that Palin wasn't an idiot that they think SNL is just a bunch of republican haters. No, no, she was well informed and very qualified. They just hate her because she's a republican. No, people hated her because she was stupid. I'm Independent. I favored McCain over Obama until he picked her. Then I switched because his brain has obviously deteriorated to the point where he can't make sound decisions. He wasnt upset that they made fun of him, it was the manner in which they did it. The 'joke' was that he was disabled and incompetent to be gov and that he's going to apppint another disabled and incompetent person to take Sen Clinton place. Also they made fun of him being blind, hang the chart upside down. Comedy is comedy, and we all know that SNL is famous for controversial comedy, but come on. There is enough things about a politician to make fun then their disablity.
And he is legally blind.
