"Price Is Right" Miracle, Drew Couldn't Care Less

One of the most unbelievable things ever happened on the set of the yesterday's "Price is RIght" -- some dude nailed the price of his showcase to the exact dollar -- and host Drew Carey couldn't have looked more bored.

No one has pulled off an exact bid in more than 30 years -- plus, the dude had already won $500 in cash for nailing the exact price of a cooker earlier in the show -- but after the showcase stunner, Drew was more fired up to talk about spaying and neutering pets.

A TMZ spy who happened to be in the audience during the taping says when Drew knew the guy hit the exact number, he stopped down taping and had a pow-wow with show producers for nearly 30 minutes. Our spy thinks they were trying to figure out how to handle the situation on camera. Unfortunately, when they resumed taping, Drew's reaction was a little less than spectacular -- while the crowd went insane.

Maybe in another 36 years, he'll show a little more excitement.

39. Okay.. I think that for the guy to guess 2 prices exactly has to be total luck.. either that or the guy somehow knew and is the stupidest cheater in the world... If I knew the price of the showcase I would have guessed like $642 under that... and lost appearantly since the other person was $400 under hers... so maybe the guy isn't that stupid!

As for Drew... I have only seen a couple of clips and don't watch daily.. the clips I have seen Drew was very excited for the winners... one was a kid who won 2 carss and it was his 19th birthday... anyway Drew seemed truely happy for the coupld of winner I saw.

I assume here that the delay was first to decide if the guy could have cheated... and secondly, imagine how much it sucked for the lady who was $400 away from hers... Drew has to tell her that she was only $400 away.. and she as well as everyone else figures she had to be the winner... then Drew has to tell the other guy he was exact... I think Drew was worried about how the crowd would react, how the lady would feel and perhaps he didn't believe the guy wasn't cheating... these are all assumptions on my part, but I think that is what I would be feeling in his shoes...

And as for Bob Barker... anyone remember Dennis James... he was THE host of all time.

40. I cannot stand Drew Carey! I agree with alot of you. Howie Mandel or the guy from "Dancing with the Stars" should be hosted. Even Rosie O'Donnell would have been better than Drew. I used to pretend being sick so I could stay home from school to watch Bob Barker even though he got a little grumpy towards the end. Now, I am a stay at home mom and can't stand to watch it because of Drew Carey. CBS...Get someone different....fast!!!!

41. I think Drew Carey is funny in his own way, but he is certainly not enough of a people person to be a host for Price is Right. That show needs someone who at least can act like he cares what he is doing for a living. Maybe John O'Hurley.

42. Drew Carey isn't the right person for that job. Steve Bergeron would be a better choice. Drew was probably thinking thats the exact amount he dropped at the strip club last time.

44. I agree 101% CBS must wake up and get rid of Drew. I used to watch this show a lot but no more. He is AWFUL. Keep to Whose Line Is It Anyway - although that show is gone. So much better talent out there, please remove him CBS! And while we're on it, get some models who have some talent like the good ole days of Janice, Diane, Holly. . . today's girls can't even extend their arms properly.

45. I have watched the show for more than thirty years...Bob Barker had such enthusiasim and enjoyed seeing people win. You could tell he loved it. Drew Carey was a bad choice, he doesnt have the energy to get out of his own way. But I guess I have to be thankful it wasnt Rosie. Drew, try to take a little more interest in your job and to the fans. Think of it as more than a paycheck...
