Anybody that doesn't appreciate the irony in this situation is about as dimwitted as Sarah Palin.. Because of Palin's completely outdated belief system, both Levi and his druggie mother are her family, or soon to be. If only she had taken the time to realize that birth control is both good and necessary when dealing with stupid, strung-out teens, or even that there ARE other options than rushing children into marriage because of an accidental pregnancy.. her shining star of a political career wouldn't be tarnished by this association.

You are a hypocrite. Why is it when someone does not agree with what you believe in are they called "outdated"? Just because we don't elect to "erase" either our mistake (if we were irresponsible when having sex) or the possibility of a less-than-perfect child by getting an abortion? Or we don't want the government telling us how to live our lives or what to do with our money? Or because some of us believe marriage is between man and woman and haven't jumped aboard the little bandwagon you have chosen to board? Sorry. We will always call out liberals and the mainstream media who adore them on what they do wrong. And Obama has brought on the criticism himself. They bashed Bush before he took office the first time...we are just returning the favor.

I agree this post was not about Obama, but then again, a thread starts about Jen Aniston or Jolie and always winds up about the other one. We (conservatives) just find it funny that Obama and Clinton, et. al, are not held to the same standard. That's why these websites exist. To get everyone all riled up. Listen to us, I guess it works.

You have a faulty memory. Bush enjoyed very high approval ratings, right till he started doing things very badly. Like reading fairy tales to school children while our nation was being attacked. From that point, he did nothing correctly and he has been justifiably criticized for it. His administration wrecked our economy, started unneccesary wars by telling lies, and let Katrina survivors suffer because his administration is incompetent.

So, yeah, show Obama the same respect we gave Bush at first. Let's see what he does before we decide we don't like his actions. (And Obama doing a little blow in college is entirely different than Palin's in-laws selling hillybilly heroin. Duh.)

217. I agree with you partially, pfft. I thought Bush's highest ratings only occurred right after 9/11. Somehow I doubt Obama would have conspiracy theorists saying that HE planned the 9/11 attacks or helped bring down the Towers himself. And Bush was in the middle of reading to the kids when the attacks occurred. When the first plane hit as you recall people at first thought it was some freak accident (like when that baseball player died flying his plane into that apartment bldg a couple years ago). Rather than freaking everyone out by running off he kept up the act until he finished reading the little book. People make it sound like he was playing leap frog out on the playground or something.

I probably need to get off my high horse when it comes to cutting Obama a little slack. I should at least let the guy get into office and give it the old college try. Dems are never happy with a Repub Prez and we, Repubs are usually never happy under a Dem. You guys had to suffer under 8 years of Repubs, guess it's my turn to suck it up.

I did not vote for Palin because I think she is an idiot and couldn't find her way out of a paper bag if you cut both ends off, but she does seem to have an everyday American family with all the drama that it holds.
