I can just hear Palin’s reaction to Colin’s Powell’s assessment of her on CNN on Dec 14th with regard to her polarization of the Republican Party during the campaign:

“Well, ya know, Colonel Powell… Huh? Oh -- General Powell -- is a great statesman. Uh…did he reelly say that? Oh my goodness. Well geez. I surely didn’t wanna do that. I mean polarizin’ the great people in our great and wonderful Party. But to be reelly reelly fair? I kinda think he might be understatin’…uh…overstatin’ the facts, here. Maybe he doesn’t see this country the way we true Americans – the decent, honest and hard-workin’ Joe the Plumbers – see it. Ya know, we don’t watch this kinda gotcha media. Me, I’m a public servant tryin’ to do God’s will, and tryin’ to serve this great nation of ours the best way I can, don’tcha know. Yeah, I’m still just tryin’ to find God’s door. Of course, only Faux (Fox) News would run this inane, hot air after a helluva lot of editing. Other newscasters would run it uncut, and in its entirety, as they stuff handkerchiefs down their mouths somewhere near their tonsils to keep from laughing -- or losing their lunch.

100. Democrat, Republican or Independent, it just doesn’t matter. I know members from all three parties who didn’t vote for McCain because of Palin. Who in their right mind could possibly vote for her?

I don’t want some government executive administrator from the boonies as President. I want a strong, highly intelligent leader who is inspirational, has integrity, political experience and savvy; has both internationalist and centrist understanding; possesses intellectual curiosity and knowledge with both national and global affairs; and can hold their own in a conversation with any leading politician or journalist/interviewer. With the exception of political savvy, Palin fails, completely, in all the other areas. So do the voters who support her, and that is what’s ultimately destroying this country.
