Paris: Come on In -- The Door Is Always Open

Paris HiltonThe mission? Sneak on to Paris Hilton's property, crawl past the heat sensors and lasers and ... wait ... the door is unlocked? Cancel that -- just walk in and take whatever.

According to the LAPD, the reason it was so easy to break into Paris Hilton's fortress is because she forgot to lock the front door. It's not like this is the first time. Paris was also jacked in 2004, and thieves made off with $100,000 in Hilton accessories.

Times are hard for everyone -- but a Hilton.

16. 13. Stealing is a crime and rich people do not deserve to get robbed anymore than asnyone else. Get a grip already.

While stealing is a crime and while *some* of them may not deserve it, when it happens from their own stupidity why should anyone pity them? This girl buys everything in the world except for a safe...and this is the SECOND time she has been robbed! So yes, she was asking for it. She obviously did not learn from her prior negligence!

17. For all the people saying she is a "Horrible Person" I don't get it. You may not like her for whatever reason but she is NOT a Horrible Person. She seems very nice and caring and she doesn't deserve this as does anyone else. Just because she is Rich and can replace the things doesn't mean anything. Some of it might have been from her mom or grandmother or whatever. Stealing is wrong and for all of you so glad that it happened to her...I hope you feel the same way if it happens to you.

18. Blaming a victim is downright disgusting.

So, if someone where to rear end me and I am not at fault for the accident, but I decided not to waste money on purchasing car insurance, who is at fault? At that point both parties are to blame and will be ticketed.

Paris not investing in a safe with that amount of valuables lying around and then neglecting to lock her door is the same equivalent. #5 made a valid point....her insurance company will not see her as being a "victim" because it was due in part to her negligence.

19. And Paris was NOT asking for it. Just because you leave your door unlocked doesn't mean that the Robbers are free and clear to enter. If is still her house and not theirs. The Idiot Robber is in the wrong, not Paris.

20. The LAPD did not say that, it was reported by the LA Times that a door was unlocked. Something must have triggered an alarm for security to show up. Hopefully they'll catch the dude since he is on camera.
I too feel bad for Paris Hilon.

21. Wow. Paris or her mom must be on here posting in her defense. Paris, don't you have an appointment at the free clinic today?

22. Ummm...don't the newspapers frequently write what is reported by the police department?

23. Some posters here seem to hav a very strange sense of moraliy themselves while disparaging Paris Hilton.

My heart goes out to her because she is often targeted by people who try to take things way from her while trying to enrich themselves at her expense.

There is also no proof whatsoever that she has had "numerous" boyfriends, that's a tabloid creation.

Not saying that I think she is perfect, she is a human bing ith strengths and weaknesses.
But good grief, I'm sure she feels terrible that this happened. I know I would.

24. Oh and btw, I'm neither her mother nor a friend.

In fact I don't even know Paris.

But some comments are really disturbing.

26. This skank was born into money, has no regard for the importance of it, and the need by so many who desperately are trying to get by without it. Soooooo obviously, it is an inside job, by one of her low life friends who party with her, and know how she trolls. It is reported by the LA Times, and LAPD she left the damn door unlocked. Yeah, it is a crime somebody walked in and robbed her, but, she made it available to them. It is also a crime that this person, and many, many of these younger kids drive pink bentleys, and will just replace what is taken. And if it is proven by her insurance carrier she was NEGLIGENT, no payment for the lost goods, unless they put a special clause in the policy to cover her brain injury. I am sure it was just a missed step in her valuable, meaningful life. She will recover, until the next robbery. Probably from her high rise penthouse in Las Vegas where she truly runs her brothel. As for being a savy business woman, get real!!!! The money came from Grandpa and Daddy. Someone helps her invest what was handed down to her..........and I think she has been investing in jewelry, cars, homes, and video equipment.

28. I feel bad for her. I dont care if she left her door open or how rich she is. Thats horrible especially this time of year.

29. Does anyone else ever notice that when paris is not in the headlines for a while some crazy stuff comes out. She is playing you guys. There is no way that she could have been robbed she lives in a gated community where you have to go through security to even enter. Why wasn't anybody else's house broken into, how would they know where she her bedroom was and also that much jewelry isn't kept just laying around. She planted this story and you guys are being played.

30. #28 Mari

Don't feel bad for her.....trust me, she would not care one second for you or about you if it were you that had been a victim, and while it is horrible at this time of year.....I am sure, Santa will bring her a bag full of goodies and lots to stuff in her stockings..........................
