"The Hills" Is, Like, Totally Whitewashed

76. I'm black!
Personally racism does not bother me, I live in a wonderful area (fairfax county, virginia) I have a wonderful life and I could care less what a black white asian middle eastern spanish or purple dude says about me. I don't even watch BET but I support minority television. There will never be White Entertainment tv because everything is White entertainment for the most part. Most African American shows have to be SOOOOOO wonderful to make it onto the white owned television programs. The Cosby show and Fresh Prince are PRIME examples. Sex and the City and Girlfriends are centered around the same things: men, sex, finding a man, and their careers. But yet Sex and the City is so much bigger than Girlfriends...think about it..its all about target market. BET targets black people nobody said white people can't watch it but they try to put shows and music that the MAJORITY of black people are interested in. Just like MTV targets younger people who like mainstream music. Have you ever heard them playing old school music? Just remember that if all of these White television programs targeted blacks or asians they wouldn't sell any money because more than half of the country is white.

There is no Caucasian College Fund because White people own a vast majority of things in this country. Please when the country is no longer dominated by Whites you should complain. I'm not racist or anything but I don't understand why SOME not all white people seem to think all black people live in bad neighborhoods act ghetto and have no kind of class. There are African American sororities and colleges because Blacks were denied from joining. They still exist because most have done exceedingly well hence the name Historically Black College. A lot of you need to read the history of Afrian Americans and even other races for that matter.. Not just Dr. King, Rosa Parks and the other "featured" people. If you knew anything about these things maybe you would be more understanding. Also please check out Tim Wise on you tube he is a white man..I watched this in my American Literature class. He is the TRUTH! LOL peace and happiness!

77. Baldwin hills sucks... And its crappy. and I am black. I liked the hills because Lauren was the main character....they only did this because she was popular on Laguna Beach... Race isnt the issue... So stupid
