Pete Doherty Not All He's Cracked Up to Be

The female Amy Winehouse is back, sorta.

It's been ages since we heard about the Babyshamble and Kate Moss ex, and guess what he's up to now -- ditching a gig. (Shocker, obviously.) NME.com reports Pete was supposed to turn up for a gig over the weekend in London, and bailed "at the 11th hour -- just before he was due on."

The no-show was blamed on an "arm injury." Doherty spent several weeks in jail earlier this year for violating his probation.

16. I totally agree, Pete is one of the best frontmen of our generation. I cant actually belive people still judge books by their cover, thought wed moved past that. Also i think people are quick to criticise Pete because of all the bad press surrounding him, this makes people jump on the 'hes a drug addict so hes nothing' bandwagon. I dont think the people who criticise him have actually listened to his music or appreciated his great songwriting and music writing. He was critically acclaimed for his poetry as a youth and has spoken to the people of britain with honesty and compassion for nearly ten years now. I think its time to appreciate a fantastic musician and poet and stop giving him the shove because of his 'Rock and Roll antics'.

19. Peter has his problems. But he is a genious non the less. The last Rock & Roll Romantic. A true poet. I hope he stays clean. I don't want Pete to meet the same fate as Morrison and Hendrix.
