Benjamin Button Rated R for Violence

How's this for a movie poster quote -- "So good I kept watching even after I shot a man"?

After trying several times to get a guy to quiet down -- including a little popcorn throwing -- a man in Philadelphia allegedly shot another man because he wouldn't stop talking during "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," the Philadelphia Inquirer is reporting.

And what's worse -- it was on Christmas Day and the alleged victim was with his kid!

James Joseph Cialella is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, and weapons violations. The paper says after Cialella shot the guy, he sat back down and continued to watch the movie. Two thumbs up!

31. I see nothing wrong with what he did, people need to learn manners and social respect of others about damn time maybe this will make people think twice about ruining other peoples enjoyment

32. Sweet justice! We sat in front of a family during King Kong and the bratty 10 year olds kept talking. They were asked to be quiet by several people; the parents sat there saying nothing. I hoped that someone would knock the dad out and teach the whole family a lesson but instead I went and got the usher. If I've paid $20 for my husband and I to see a movie, I don't want to hear anyone else. Maybe he'll plead temporary insanity, he deserves a light sentence.

33. OK, granted, shooting the guy was a little excessive, but I totally sympathize. More than once has my movie experience been RUINED by some self-centered, arrogant, rude idiot talking over the movie. And apparently this guy kept it up after REPEATEDLY being asked to shut up. Sorry, he deserves it. Yeah, you can go complain, but then you're missing even more of the movie, and even if you get a free pass, the movie's already ruined, plus you're inconvenienced to have to come back and take a chance that the next time there won't be another selfish idiot at that showing too.

36. If there is any justice, the guy will simply tell the jury why he shot the schmuck and they will give him a standing ovation for it. The reason people used to have decent manners was because most people were armed with guns and knives. The communities where people are allowed to pack heat have lower crime rates and more courteous populations.

BTW, SpellChamp, theaters do not have metal detection devices mounted in the door frames. If someone told you that they did, they were putting you on and you were dumb enough to believe it. I won't waste the time to explain everything about how these things work, but stop and think that the door frames are metal. When was the last time they told you to empty your pockets to see a movie, other than the contents of your wallet?

37. A White guy shot someone in Philadelphia? Are you kidding me? The most dangerous city in America, nearly all exclusively because of Black people shooting other Black people...this has got to be a first. May the Lord help this man in jail---he'll be the only white person there.

Stay away from that City it has nothing to do with Brotherly Love...BOB crime is out of control---except I guess when it comes to white people getting mad at the movies.

Has Philly become the new Detroit---I mean do any White People still actually live in the City or all in the burbs now because of the crime problem? So sad isnt it...maybe the new President can change it, because the people living there certaintly havent been able to. An absolute cesspool now of what it once was----if you live there or once lived there you should be outraged by the condition its in now. If you're not, than you are part of why it is a cesspool now.

38. Freaking awesome. I seriously hope people will realize they can be shot for talking in theaters, now. I always feel like I AM the one who's going to be shot when I ask idiot gangsta teenagers to be quiet in the theater. How much rolling over do we have to do? "Just go talk to the manager"? Oh yeah, because I wasn't missing enough of the movie from the jackass talking!

40. Just another day in paradise for me here. That aint all that bad either when it comes to philly peeps, he did nicely ask them to STFU!! The first time. Well anyway, that is presicely why I have netflix, I NEVER go and buy tickets to the movies anymore, I havent in years. There's been all kinds of violence at them places, this aint to first and it won't be the last, and why should it, most movies made are very violent in and of themselves. Espicailly Brad's Biatch Angie, she makes THEEEE most violent moveis for such an "honorable" woman, they both get violent, all movies are violent.I am sure this incident will end up in the movies if it allready did not come from one.And everyone has a gun in philly, my little ole momma has one.I will wait until I can get the bootlegged copy of this stupid film. These actors make so much stupid money from idiots like everyone in the movie theaters paying to get in. like 28,000,000.00 a year for this power coulpe.Did i add enough zeros?Of YOUR money, NOT mine.
April from Philly! YOW

And there are white people like myself in philly, I have been here my whole life.I hide in my house only to go out to shop, work. that is it. I know pretty miserable huh? And this violenc is in EVERY city in this country, don't fool yourselves. This only made the news because it involved a free advertisement for the movie.

44. Imagine my surprise to be reading TMZ this morning with my cup of coffee and realize that I know this person. The story did not detail that this guy is a SGT in the Army out of FT Bragg North Carolina. This is completely outside his personality, but he had been deployed. This isn't a white, black, Philly, good town/bad town issue, this is a guy who needed some help from what he's been through and he fell through the cracks...

45. AND theaters are no longer MANAGED to keep people QUIET. Used to be management cared, not anymore. I once complained about someone and was told to just go find another seat.
