I realize we know more about cigarette smoking than we did 20 or 30 years ago, but come on. I am a non-smoker so I certainly don't endorese it, but it's one picture. She's outside in the open air for christ's sake. These are real people with real habits, right or wrong. Chances are she doesn't smoke in her car or in her house. As for the breast feeding... well... I can't speak on that.
I find it humourous how people are so quick to judge and ridicule based on one picture that was meant to make the person look as bad as possible. It's TMZ people... they're TRYING to make these people look bad and you're buying into it.
I look at these pics because I'm curious. Then I roll my eyes at the stupidity of it all and move on. Grain of salt, people, grain of salt.

33. i don't care whether she smokes or not
but if she still breastfeed her baby, she shouldn't.
or maybe she just had ONE occasional cigarette.
pregnant and nursing women can have one drink a day, so cigarette should be ok
i'm nursing now and used to be a heavy smoker
i won't smoke though as long as i breastfeed my baby

36. It is still better to breastfeed if you are a smoker, than not breastfeed. I did both, and I researched and spoke to my doctor before I did it. Just so you know. . . Obviously, the best thing to do would be not smoke, and breastfeed. Still better than giving them formula though!

37. She will just fall into the category of the millions of addicted smokers that give one bad example of a filthy habit. I've no doubt her daughter is exposed to second hand smoke on a frequent basis. As with most hard core smokers from varing ages groups, and ethnic backgrounds, there in denial on second hand smoke. Too bad for this precious little girl who will be raised around the stench of the smell on her clothes, and her moms breath. Not to mention potential health problems of her own. Selma would be doing her daughter, and her own personal health a big favor and conjur up whatever it takes to quit smoking forever. The tabacco industry may have hooked another lifer unfortunetly.

42. I've never met a smoker in my life who could give a flying hoot about anyone else. It indicates a character suffocating; they can't cope with being themselves. Smoking isn't addictive for anyone, but there are millions of down-and-outers who have no self-esteem and want to dull their senses with that addictive release from reality that comes in a puff of smoke going into the brain to shut off the oxygen.
So show me a smoker and I'll show you a loser. It's not cool to be a loser. It's cool to struggle past tough times. So to hell with the smokers.
