46. Nice try troll. No Nicole is not Hispanic and she denies it to the hills whenever anyone even suggest such a thing. Her biological father is supposedly Pete Escovedo who happens to be part Black(his mom) and his dad is Mexican. It is a mystery about Nicole's mother. Nicole is a multi-racial person though she does not refer to her self that way. She has come a long way since her hell-raising days with Paris and I wish her nothing but happiness in the new year. Of course the haters will hate as per usual, too bad, it changes nothing.

Early life and family Nicole Richie was born Nicole Camile Escovedo in Berkeley, California[1] Her birth mother has been identified only as a woman who was employed as a backstage assistant on Lionel Richie's 1980 world tour; Peter Escovedo III was a member of Richie's band. In a November 15, 2005 CNN interview with Ryan Seacrest, Richie stated that her birth father (whom she declined to identify) was not a member of Lionel's band. Richie still speaks with her biological mother but has no contact with her biological father. Richie also denied that Escovedo was her biological father in a November 2005 Jane magazine interview.[2]

Lionel Richie first met Nicole as a child playing tambourine on stage at a Prince concert. Richie became her guardian.[3] At age 2, Nicole went to live with Lionel Richie and his wife, Brenda Harvey-Richie, who began to raise her as their daughter. When she was five years old, Nicole began attending weekly sessions with a psychotherapist and remained in therapy throughout her childhood. She was legally adopted by the Richies when she was nine.

Does she work? She is taking care of her daughter and husband. Yes, that is a job. On top of that, she has an accessory line, she has played roles on Chuck, she has put out an album and she runs a foundation with her husband.

Seriously, if you think about it she has done more than the average celebrity. After her very public battles with drugs, alcohol and food, she completely turned her life around and is a positive role model for young girls. How many hollywood types can you say that about? Do you see Lindsay, Britney, Mischa or Paris involved in starting a foundation and giving back? They have more money than Nicole, yet you never see them trying to make a difference.

I think the people who say hateful things are just hateful people who can never find anything nice to say about anyone. Very sad life.
