No Joke -- Dane Cook's Brother Steals Him Blind

Dane CookTalk about keeping it in the family -- sources tell TMZ Dane Cook's brother (who was also his business manager) has been arrested for allegedly stealing millions from the comedian.

Darryl McCauley -- who was in charge of Cook's financial affairs since the 90s -- was arrested today by the Massachusetts State Police and charged with three counts of larceny and forgery.

Authorities say in one case, Dane's bro forged a $3 million check and deposited it in his account.

McCauley will be arraigned tomorrow in Woburn District Court.

PEOPLE..... obviously HE DID realize money was missing otherwise his half-brother would not be in JAIL! and why wouldn't Dane have millions....he is FAMOUS! Duh! I'm sure his Brother took a little at first and then became greedy!!!! Dane Cook is probably more distraught over the fact that his brother would do such a thing! What a way to start off the new year! I wish Dane all the best!

33. I love Dane Cook, this is so sad. No one deserves this. He trusted his brother and it's usually the people closest to you that hurt you the most! He deserves to be scared in Prison for a while but then will things ever be the same. I feel so sorry for broken families that never talk to each other again. Forgiveness is important for people who have remorse. Greed is a horrible thing to overcome. It just goes to show you money is the root of all evil!

34. This is crazy. Dane Cook is funny when he does stand up, still working on those acting skills though. If he trusted his brother for all those years to take care of his money and nothing has been stolen from him then he shouldn't have any reason to suspect his brother. He also probably had no idea that much money was missing because he don't handle his own finances, HIS BROTHER DID. I think it's safe to say that Dane Cook has millions..for starters, have you seen how many people are at his stand-up performances? Their sold out. Not to mention he's done a few movies that haven't flopped. My Best Friends Girl, one of the funniest movies I've seen in a while. So there's no point in talking crap about Dane Cook just because you don't have millions for your brother to steal.

36. for all those who dont think dane is funny or has millions ... Retaliation(his comedy album) became the highest charting comedy album in 28 years and went double platinum He also starred in major movie roles since 2006 including Employee of the Month and Good Luck Chuck. He also had supporting roles in Mr. Brooks (a departure from his standard comedic roles) and Dan in Real Life. Most recently, Cook starred in My Best Friend's Girl. so all you haters he DOES have millions and hes not stupid he trusted his brother someone that probably all of us would trust our own family member !
