17. To the above poster, your info is wrong. He broke his back in a surfing accident 2 years ago (not all his bones, not horseback riding). I don't think he looks that bad, considering.

20. He did break his neck surfing in in Hawaii. It is an incredible story, he basically saved him self from be paralized from the neck down. Having been hit by a car jogging it is very challanging to recover from serious physical injuries. His body for 61 year old is not that bad. He is a nice man and doesn't deserve the bitchiness.

22. Jeff Hayes was supposed to be the 'next big screen star' after "Airplane". Ended up playing an alien from space in one movie and "Airplane 2". By 1990's was doing commericials, and not playing himself! Was Bette Midler's hubby in her flop sitcom from a few years ago.

23. what you DON"T know is that he had an almost fatal accident in Hawaii a few years ago. He's barely out of the braces, and you pull this CRAP on him? He's my cousin and a wonderful man and father. Too bad you don't know his real life story. It is inspiring and uplifting.

When is father John, a decorated WWII vet was dying and they built his coffin together as a fmily He was buried in his cowboy boots.

He deserves better than this crap.

24. You know, he's still in recovery. It's amazing he can walk at all. Medications that help rebuild your body have a reaction, such as creating puffiness. It's amazing he went out at all. Shame on you TMZ.. He is a wonderful father who actually raised a normal nice kid.
