Travoltas Speak on Jett's Passing

John Travolta and Kelly Preston have released this statement on the passing of their son Jett:

"We would like to extend our deepest and most heartfelt thanks to everyone who has sent their love and condolences. Jett was the most wonderful son that two parents could ever ask for and lit up the lives of everyone he encountered. We are heartbroken that our time with him was so brief. We will cherish the time we had with him for the rest of our lives. We have received many messages of condolence from around the world and we want to thank everyone for their prayers and support. It has meant so much to us. It is a beautiful reminder of the inherent goodness in the human spirit that gives us a hope for a brighter future."

With love,
John, Kelly and Ella

63. Goodness people, ofcourse they did not write that press statement, These people are just parents right now , parents that have just seen their beloved son dying. How devestating that is and how nasty people can be. Thank goodness they don't read TMZ.

I don't know about their son being autistic. I truly believe that's a hoax. Just look at the older pictures when Jett was a toddler, all smiling, outgoing, hugging his parents. Autistic toddlers are not like that. They have problems with closeness.
The medication Jett got is for severe epilepsy, grand et petit mals are epileptic seizures. Depakote is much like Depakine.
Personally I think Jett got epilepsy because as a child he had meningitis or even late treated Kawasaki.
I had meningitis as a kid and it left me with epilepsy, not as bad as Jett though. Depakine saved my life and I eventually grew out of it. But some cases are more severe and there just is no cure.

So stop thinking you know better than these parents, stop thinking Jett had something he didn't have at all, just because so and so says so?

64. How could they not be concerned with the public? Just look at this website. I would want to make a public statement. What exactly is wrong with that?

66. Natasha....don't forget the part about the aliens and NEEDING permission before you can see a medical doctor...By the way, how much cash have they milked out of you thusfar? There is a difference between a religion and a cult....HUGE difference. Keep allowing yourself to be a weak tool.

68. God Bless John, Kelly and Ella and all the people who loved Jett. May he rest in peace and love of the Lord. People please show respect. It doesn't matter what religion anyone practices, losing a child is devastating to all people and all faiths. Losing a loved one hurts, and remember this could be any one of us in their shoes right now. Show some class and please use restraint and kindness in this matter. God Bless.

71. Bella, not exactly accurate with all children. I took care of a young boy who had Autism and he was very loving and smiled constantly. He didn't speak much as his parents thought he was a lost cause. We taught him to speak, to write etc etc. Im not arguing with you but just wanted to clarify that your statement is not true of all children with Autism.

72. Idiotic is being in a religion that was started on a bet.

73. Penny, it's rude and idiotic to call others rude and idiotic.

Posted at 3:48PM on Jan 4th 2009 by welcome back

74. That's true Okie. I also know a child with autism who is like that. But you have to keep in mind, there are so many different degrees of autism. Some are high funtioning. One of the Travoltas neighbors claimed that you couldn't even communicate with Jett so maybe that's what Bella was talking about.

75. Oh OK JYCRED .. Thank you for pointing that out :) Sorry Bella if that is what you were referring to.
