Jett Travolta Autopsy May Never Be Public

Jett TravoltaThe Ministry of Health in the Bahamas tells TMZ the autopsy findings in the death of John Travolta's son may never be public.

Dr. Hubert Minnis says a pathologist at Rand Memorial Hospital (where Jett Travolta was pronounced dead) is currently performing the autopsy, which should take several hours. Dr. Minnis says he personally decided, because of the high profile nature of the case, to bring in a second pathologist from Nassau, Dr. Karen Sands. Dr. Minnis made a point to us that Dr. Sands is an American.

The doctor says once the pathologists complete a preliminary report, it's forwarded on to a coroner. The coroner then forwards the completed report to the Travolta/Preston family. Dr. Minnis says only the family has authority to release the findings to the public. No word if that will happen.

76. Hey anon, if I had a child killed in an auto accident, at least it would be "an accident." For a child being prescirbed a drug and his parents don't/won't give it to him is at least child abuse, if not murder!

77. Why do people believe that parents always know and do what's best for their kids? Doesn't anyone watch/read the news? I personally know people whose parents should not have been allowed to be around children. I've also met parents who've made some really bad choices concerning their kids, when they honestly belived that they did what was best. Nothing illegal, they will never be on the news, but their kids might when they grow up...

78. If this would have happened in the Uk, we would support the family which are grieving for their child, not look for some x files type of answer to what was obviously a tragic accident, i aint being funny but what does that say about you people as Americans? Not all, but the majority of you are bloody mental, its shocking!!! Wheres the compassion? All im reading is jealousy because the Travoltas have more money than any of you will ever have....Get over it!!No conspiracy.....accident!!

79. Who cares? Old people die every day, young people die every day, why is this such a big deal? I can understand the family having to deal with the loss for an extended period of time but why does the public have to talk about it for days. Nobody at tmz knew the kid personally, none of Travolta's fans knew him personally, get over it. I don't see an extreme amount of attention when Joe Blow's son in Arkansas dies. Who cares if his dad is a celebrity, his death is no more important than anyone else's death

80. What else is new from the corrupt Bahamas? Where Howard Stern could buy off an immigration official with a Rolex? This of course will be covered up by them. Boycott that rotten Banana Republic. It's only the David Copperfield's, Sterns and cult Travoltas so eager to go to that corrupt place.

81. Could it be possible? Two people in the world have the name Victoria??!! Outlandish! Blasphemy! Unheard of! So, somebody thinks they are so famous on here, no one is allowed to use the name Victoria, even though it is my name? And yes, I do have a job. I use the computer at work. Bad employee you say? Maybe, but since I own the business, I guess I will give myself one more chance to straighten up. Thank you for your concern.

82. I think we all need to mind our own business. Would you want the country to know your child's business. John and Kelly loved their son very much and their faith would never interfere with the health and well being of their own flesh and blood.

83. It's none of our business how he died. And the Travolta family has the right to keep it private. HIs son was not a celebrity, he was a private citizen, and his records should remain private!!!

84. Adults/Children have died from seizures. Some have falled, some have choked to death, some have bleeding in the brain from convulsing, some have drowned, some have died in car accidents, etc. It's not UNCOMMON for people with epilepsy to die from injuries from accidents caused from the seizures. The people take meds and some do not. ACCIDENTS HAPPEN! Stop trashing this family!

85. I'll save my judgement of them as parents once they release the autopsy result......as far a influencing young people into an organization that not only financially drains them but can be deadly...GUILTY......speaking out about drugs for mental/medial conditions, completely irresponsible, they are not doctors, clearly.

86. Boy oh boy. It's not the Scientologists who are working overtime on this site, it's the anti-Scientology crusaders who are hell bent on proving that it's a cult and hoping to strip people of thier basic freedom of religion.

TMZ is not helping anything by giving us these little bits of info every other second. This is how people end up with ruined reputations, because the media presents half truths and sound bites and everyone buys them as facts. There is absolutely no evidence that a crime was committed here. I don't know, but I would bet that the autopsy confirms that. If the autopsy DOES find evidence of foul play, that will be common knowledge soon enough because the Travoltas will be in court! But until that happens, all the amateur MDs and sleuths out there need to cool their jets.

As for negligence, an autopsy won't prove or disprove that. If no anti-seizure meds are found in Jett's system, the people who already have their minds up that the Travoltas neglected their son will say that it proves that their "cult" made them refuse medication that their son needed. But it also backs up what the Travoltas say - he was on meds at one time and they took him off because they weren't working and there were bad side effects.

I guess what we've learned from all this is that freedom of speech is more important to a lot of you than freedom of religion or a major tenet of our legal system, "innocent until proven guilty."

Oh, and let me say once again that I'm not a Scientologist. Just because, invariably, whenever anyone leaves a comment that doesn't attack Scientology, the self-appointed comment section cult awareness network just tries to dismiss the commenter as a "Scientology spin doctor." I guess we're either with you or against you, eh, witch hunters?

87. I am so disgusted with some of you. We weren't there, we don't know what happened. These people have lost a child. A precious human being whom they have loved unconditionally for 16 years. You aren't owed an explanation and your speculation is ridiculous and immature. My prayers go out to the parents. It is a loss beyond words. He was on medicine, but it quit working for him, they stopped giving it to him. I, as a mother would have done exactly the same thing. We, as parents try to make the best choices for out kids, unlike some of the children who apparently haven't started back to school yet, who are commenting on this post.

88. To agnostic69:

Is it possible the police could be wrong with their GUESSTIMATE? I had a child whom police tried to say he was involved in something. The Police even had a witness. My son kept saying the police were wrong... A day before court, my son's attorney called the witness and after the attorney read what the witness "apparently" told police, the witness was outraged. The witness was ready to defend my son. The police dropped the charges.

C'mon. You weren't there all night and neither were the police. Get a grip.

89. I AGREE WITH DANA #12!
I DONT KNOW JOHN TRAVOLTA, BUT ITS CLEAR TO SEE THAT HE IS A GOOD MAN AND DEVOTED FATHER.
I THINK THEY SHOULD KEEP IT PRIVATE BECAUSE ITS DEFINITELY NOT THE PUBLICS BUSINESS!!!
RIP JETT TRAVOLTA!
YOU ARE ALL IN MY PRAYERS.

90. I never realized how important blogs have become for people to speak their minds. Your darn right people are outraged. Don't fool yourself into thinking that Scientology trolls aren't working amass on the interenet to create "damage control". Of course it's sad, and they will have to live with their decisions for the rest of their lives, like all parents, they made bad and good choices for their kids. But take the time to read what it's like to be a Scientologist. They are not a religion. Read about Lisa McPherson, who died at a Scientology center of malnutrition among other things and was held against her own will. There's tons of information on that because the lawsuit went on forever. Or Theresa Duncan and Jeremy Blake, who spoke out againtst the church, and were hounded and threatened and were in fear for their lives, now both dead of apparent suicides. Or Tim Kenny, the Ocala, Florida neighbor of the Travoltas, who called child protective services on them, now dead of an apparent suicide. Or the Florida man who was making a film about Scientology, now dead of an apparent suicide. Or Quinten Hubbard, the leader's own son, in his father's words, and "embarrassment", because he was homosexual, dead of an apparent suicide. I used to hate TMZ, now I'm glad they exist, because they help to expose the hypocrisy of wealth, fame, and power. There is a reason why homosexuals tend to gravitate towards Scientology...self-hatred and guilt (guess it makes the sex hotter, huh?), but the problem is, once these celebrities make peace with themselves later on in life, it's too late, because C of S knows all about them, care of "auditing" (look it up), which is actually similar to pyschotherapy, the irony of it all. How do I know? Don't bother asking me, there's not enough space here, but I do know firsthand. Many of you live in dreamland, because you can't fathom, or don't want to think about the amount of evil in this world, and the lengths that people will go to for power over others. Scientologists are often FRIGHTENING. They will stop at nothing to silence the naysayers, but this time the cats out of the bag. They will be working full-force on blogs, in the news, anything to distract from their past misdeeds. Only one good thing could come out of this, people will begin to look into the belief system of Scientology.
