33. To number 13: sorry you do not agree with me. Maybe I am an idiot, who knows? Unlike yourself who is such a genius you are reading TMZ. P.S. Misty is my dog

34. Sky, people with autism do have larger brains and a different ratio of white/grey matter so it may be possible to determine autism from the autopsy however i'm not sure that this would be conclusive. Seeing pictures, it seems obvious (slack facial tone, flat affect) that he either had autism or brain damage. I do believe that the high number of vaccinations we are giving babies is mostly responsible for the increase in autism but with the Travoltas being scientologists, I'm not sure they would have given him hep b at birth or many of the others recommended. To me, stuff that we mainline into our children (mercury, aluminum, msg etc.) has to be more significant to their health than say, cleaning ingredients. Just my opinion.
In any case, I wonder why he didn't wear a helmet with such frequent seizures.
We parents all just try to do the best we can for our kids and may he rest in peace.

35. My little boy died when he was 3 years old, it was a grief like no other in this world. Knowing what I know now, many years later, my heart aches for the Travolta's. Time will ease this pain a little bit, but a day won't go by where they will not think of him and wonder what it would have been like to watch him grow. Eventually, the good memories will outweigh the bad, but parents never "get over" this kind of pain.
TMZ, I think it is very sad that you are hanging on every millisecond of this tragedy, guessing at the causes, guessing at very private details of this little boy's life. My son was also disabled, and I did everything I could do for him as a parent because he was my life. When he died, people did second guess and judge decisions I had made, and that pain was almost worse than losing him. The world should surround these people with love and respect today, and save any questions for a later time. Right now, no matter what choices they made for him, they are grieving parents, and they ache. It is shameful to allow so many irresponsible, hurtful...devastating....things to be said about them right now. Let them grieve, let them bury the son they treasured. Their lives as actors do not give us the right to every detail of their sorrow. I can tell you this much, knowing that a beautiful and precious, innocent little child is undergoing an autopsy is devastating on a parent. It may be necessary, but to know what will be done in the interest of a reason WHY is the most incredibly painful thing to live with. Autopsies are not pretty, they are not amusing, and they are not kind to the delicate little faces and bodies of those they are done on. They are even harder on the ones who have to submit their babies to them. Be gentle with these people, not because they are famous or rich or anything like that, but because they just lost their son and they are hurting.

36. Travolta is gay, it's common knowledge. Kelly is paid big money to be his wife. Tragedy breaks ups marriages. They will divorce soon.

37. This has been bothering me, where do scientologists believe Jett is now? Just dead? Not Heaven or Hell?

38. Jett having or not having autism doesn't matter since there is NO CURE. The best you can do is therapy which sometimes does and sometimes doesn't work. Imagine waking to find feces smeared in the child's room and on himself because that is what he decided was a good idea.
With Seizure medications you have to chose, as a parent, whether the amount of seizure reduction (if the medications work and yes it is an if) and then chose between liver damage and the degree to which the medication is working.
Some of the horrific and nasty comments say more about the individual writing than the Travolta's who actually had a child with special needs.

39. 10. Would you be able to tell if he has autism from doing the biopsy. If they can and he does have it . Then you could never see John Travolta in the same light again. That would mean that every word that has come out of his mouth about Jett has been a lie. He just wanted everyone to know that he had a normal son. Do they have to releaae the full autopsy results to the public?

Could you really be more ignorant? A biopsy for autism? Never see John Travolta in the same light? Are you kidding? Maybe Jett's medical history is none of our business. Did you ever think of that? Maybe not publically acknowledging he was autistic was part of their way of GIVING him a normal life. The Travoltas have done nothing wrong. My heart aches for them. God grant them peace. Their boy has gone home to Christ.

40. For all the TMZ haters. Guess what, you do NOT have to come here and read. No one has a gun to your head and making you read this site. It's really quite simple. Read about this somewhere else or don't read about it period.

41. TMZ should show some restraint here. There is no need to monitor the autopsy. Show the family some respect. The provisional anatomic diagnosis may be ready from 24-48 hours (gross (aka anatomical macroscopic ) findings only!), but the histopathology, neuropathology, and chemical pathology may not be ready for weeks to up to sixty days (at least in by US standards).

42. TMZ, show some respect to the Travolta Family, PLEASE.....Don't You think they are suffering Enough?

43. I know this sounds terrbile and also like I am not sympathetic, but this Scientology thing is what kills. I'm sure Travolta was encouraged not to give his son his seizure meds...this is probably what killed him. My opinion, but I think Scientology is a real bad thing.

44. Being concerned about what actually happened to this child, or if this tragedy could have prevented is not necessarily an attack on the grieving parents nor is it evidence of some cruel, sick, judgmental society. People are allowed—and I think SHOULD—ask questions whenever there is a child involved. Would you suggest one turn a deaf ear or blind eye when they have some strong suspicions that a situation is not what it seems? Are those who are so offended here actually suggesting a celebrity is an untouchable person above reproach?
There's already questions arising regarding the timeline of events--there have been questions for years and YEARS, from those within Travolta's own family and close circle of friends, as to whether this boy was actually autistic and not receiving the proper intervention and treatment. Do five minutes of research and you'll find that Kawasaki syndrome cannot explain away any of this boy's very obvious disabilities. Did he have that disease at one time in his young life? Perhaps. Is that all that was wrong with him? Not by a long shot.
The Travoltas from all appearances seemed like devoted and doting parents, I'm sure. I would not even attempt to suggest otherwise--only to point out that no one can actually know what is going on inside private lives. (Otherwise we wouldn't have those news broadcasts of neighbors claiming that sociopath axe murderer next door seemed like "such a nice, quiet guy".)
To those who will defend the parent's right to grieve, you're right that they must be going through something terrible. From the statement they issued, they are surely devastated by their loss and perhaps angered by accusation. But that is the difference--they have the ability to voice these feelings and stand up and speak out for themselves. That poor kid doesn't have a voice anymore, and maybe never did.
So if it makes you sleep better at night to post your righteous indignation, go right ahead. But don't for a minute think that somehow makes you a better human being than those who cannot sleep wondering what really happened here.

45. Victoria...you are so uninformed and immature, I would be amazed if you can actually walk upright.
#1 - Antibiotics are not the cure for everything. Do you know that it's because of people's improper usage of them and doctors prescribing them for the wrong reasons that we have these increasing cases of MRSA? Doctors are not always right.
#2 - The press and small-minded people like yourself have been trying to prove that John Travolta is gay since the '70s. Like with any good looking and successful man in the entertainment biz, the rumors are always there. First of all, I seriously doubt that he's gay, but if he is it's his business. And his wife's business, of course. If he is really gay, what does that mean? Seriously! What does that mean to you?? Does it affect your life in any way?? You frickin' people always want to know about what goes on in the bedrooms of celebs and then when someone DOES come out as homosexual, you all get on your high moral horses and bitch that you don't want to hear about their sex lives.
#3 - What does John Travolta's sexual orientation have to do with his son dying?? I've seen this mentioned several times now in threads about Jett. I guess it's just another case of the narrow-minded jerks who feel so brave sitting behind their computer screens under the veil of anonymity come out in droves to leave ridiculous, off-topic, and moronic comments because they haven't grown up and/or grown a heart.
And to all the other crazies...
I am sure that everyone will now think that I'm a Scientologist because I'm sticking up for the Travoltas. I've seen that's the M.O. for people who want to bombard these threads with nasty, inhumane comments about how they got what they deserved, and that Scientology is a cult. I have seen numerous comments by the same people ranting and raving about how Scientology must be stopped and what boils down to infringing on other peoples' right to practice whatever relgion or belief system that they want. Any time someone tries to be logical or side with the Travoltas or show some compassion, immediately the accusations start flying that we're all Scientologists here to "spin" the story. I'm not a Scientologist, but I don't give a damn if you think I am. You freaks keep saying that, hoping that it will silence rational people who want to offer their condolences to this family instead of attacking them based on ignorant assumptions, second-had information, and a know-it-all attitude. Any time any shred of evidence comes out that shows that you anti-Scientology crusaders might be wrong about the Travoltas, you just scream louder. It's a conspiracy! It's a cover-up! The church of Scientology is more powerful than the government and the mafia combined! They will get you too!! Give it a rest. You're making yourselves look crazier than you say Scientologists are!
If you could take time out from your witch hunt, you might see this story for what it is. A child is dead. A family is in mourning. If you can't show respect for that, just be quiet. If it comes out that the Travoltas were negligent in any way, then you can protest. But why do it now, when you don't know ANYTHING?? Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? I guess that went out the window with freedom of religion and privacy.
