47. Great post Ginger. To turn a blind eye to this is wrong. it doesnt make us bad people. Why dont the people screaming at us to shut up want answers too? Do you not care if this child died and he didnt have to?

48. "moronic comments because they haven't grown up" ... "And to all the other crazies" ... By BB
So BB, you've grown up and you still call people crazies?
ROTFLMAO!!!

49. What's next? TMZ going to post the autopsy photos, too? Losing a child is an unimaginable tragedy for any family. Having TMZ and the other tabloid rags covering it must make it absolutely unbearable. Have some compassion for Christ's sake.

50. BB-I suggest you read Ginger's post above.
She makes a hell of a lot more sense than you and your righteous indignation.
And FYI-we also have freedom of the PRESS in this country.

51. Gee TMZ, I was with you until now but now see you as the vultures that you really are. It figures that a sleezy lawyer would be controlling the show here. Do you have any ties to the Jerry Springer too, Levin????????

52. Ginger - I see where you're coming from, but if there is any confusion about the timeline of events, that's the media's fault. Instead of giving the family a chance to grieve, letting the police do their job, letting the coroner do his job, and then accurately reporting the facts, TMZ and other media outlets bring us a steady drip drip drip, so the first report might not have been completely right, then the 2nd report seems to contradict it, but oh wait, that wasn't the whole story either, and so on and so on, until everyone starts smelly something fishy. It's common practice to try and convict people in the press these days.
The Travoltas said that they thought Jett's problems BEGAN when he was diagnosed with Kawasaki syndrome. I havne't read anything that suggests that he believes Jett has been afflicted with it all his life. And if Jett was autistic, that doesn't need to be common knowledge. If they chose not to talk about it openly, that's their business. That doesn't mean they were ashamed of him or denied that he had problems. John has referred to him as having developmental disabilities. Not all special needs or autistic children are the same, so for everyone who "suspects" that his parents didn't properly care for him, they need to A) wait to find out if he was properly cared for instead of jumping to conclusions, and B) remember that reading a Wikipedia article on autism doesn't make them experts on the subject!

54. I used to like John Travolta on WBK when I was little, and he was great in "Pulp Fiction", but not a great fan. His wife Kelly seems like a decent person and a beautiful woman and good mom. My heart breaks for them--esp. b/c of their celebrity. I'm sure they would trade EVERYTHING for their beloved Jett to have been healthy and normal and safe and sound right now. I really believe the Travolta's would've done anything in their power to treat Jett's seizure disorder, including meds and the best MD's money could buy.
Why the autopsy tho? Who cares if it was really a seizure or not? He is GONE b/c of head trauma...let him be. My poor little parrot died Christmas Eve and I STIL:L have his poor little body in my room (in a box) b/c I can't stand the thought of burying him in the frozen ground--let alone a necropsy ( sadly he fractured his little neck :(
Leave the Travolta's alone people. They are going thru hell right now and John may never fly his "jets" again after this...

55. Welcome back - I have seen some of your comments and they've all either been attempts at jokes, or smart-alec responses to other commenters. Do you even care about this story?
Been there - Righteous indignation...funny, I've seen a lot of that on this board, including comments along the lines of Jett is probably going to hell because his parents are Scientologists. If anything, I'm disgusted by a lot of what I've read, and righteously so. Sorry if you don't think that makes any sense.
Of course there is freedom of the press, but do you think for one minute that TMZ or another news outlet could write an actual article based on their opinions on Scientology, rumors, and conjecture? No. They wouldn't or they'd be sued for slander. If one of these commenters who has suggested that the Travoltas basically killed their child by withholding meds, etc. wrote such a thing for the New York Times, they'd be paying a hefty fine. I dont' think you're talking about freedom of the press, I think you mean freedom of speech, and yes, you have that too. So do I. I'm just wondering why so many take that freedom as a blank check to write as many awful, accusatory, inflammatory comments as they can. I also wonder how many would make the same hateful accusations if they were being interviewed on TV, or if they had to reveal their identities publicly. Not many. Anonymity is a great thing for the cruel and immature.

56. He wasnt properly cared for. That is why he is dead. If they had taken proper care of him he wouldnt have hit his head in the bathroom. This is a fact. Not speculation. There was no one around for hours letting this boy die on the bathroom floor alone. Its like having a pool with a fence. If you leave it open the fence is irrellevent. Cause all those things didnt save that boy cause they werent used.

57. I don't think anyone is suggesting that we "turn a blind eye" to this story but merely be sensitive when responding. To those who wants to know "the truth" as to what happened to this child, my question is what are you going to do with it? It seems a bit obsesive to want every little detail to form a positive or negative opinion. As most of us know, the press from many sources have not been forthright in reporting. So will you ever know "THE TRUTH?" This returns me back to my previous question as to what you are going to do about. If your intention is to monitor the online streaming about reports and passively sit at your computer and post your comments, your actions and opinions are worthless, at best. However, if this situation has evoked a passion within to research his condition or children at risk due to poor mental health, medical or parental guidance by bringing the topic to the public awareness by addressing it at local organization or local, state or federal governmnent forums. Otherwise, you are turning a blind eye, too

NO, I SUGGEST GINGER and the rest of you READ BB's POST! I'm with BB on this one. You losers who are trying to create a witch hunt and justify it make me sick.

59. "I'm just wondering why so many take that freedom as a blank check to write as many awful, accusatory, inflammatory comments as they can." ... BB
Well BB, you seem to have one of those blank checks because awful, accusatory, inflammatory comments describes your posts very well.

60. i think it is such a shame poor jett has passed. it is so sad to know that he even died in the presence of his father. and to think what john is feeling this very moment, it is a terrible thought. i really do want to know the results of this autospy. i want them to confirm this tragedy so people will know that truth. it is such a shame for a father to bury his own son. i feel just aweful about the evenys that occured. i wish john still had his child.
