286. You are so right Mike, now he is moving in the mother-in-law and we, the tax payers will be feeding, clothing and paying for her travel expenses too. Plus, providing all her must haves. I thought the White House was only for housing and supporting the President, wife and children. Now we have the mother-in-law, private school, a gas guzzling ride, should be interesting to see what else he is going to put on our tab. He has a financial watchdog per say watching over the government spending, what is she saying to all this added expense.

Your bitterness cannot be assuaged by your ranting. The president and his family are entitled to a certain standard of living. Did you think that particular fact would change because of his "change" credo? If you would like to be so very literal, then would you also have us change the name of our country to prove that he is all about change? And since that silly scenario of yours has taken voice, let's also change the genders of boys to "girls" and vice versa, okay Ma'm? Be realistic in your expectations and before you attack changes that you have not yet born witness to, be patient and then make a valid, reasoned assesment from there. As for him moving his mom-in-law (or father in law if it pleases you) into the White House, that woman has her own money, the President has a salary. His wife also has money of her own; I am sure none of these steadily employed people (with good jobs, i might add) have come into this entirely broke from spending their paychecks (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or however they got paid) without setting aside some of their earnings. You worry about the taxpayer supporting the President's mother-in-law...but your real statement si that you have no support for your President. Considering where we are right now, I'd say some change is not only welcome, but necessarry. By the way, My Mom and my Grandma had to move in with my family for e year due to afire in their home. They were not a financial burden as they came in with their incomes and so were able to help us out some plus spend time with the grandchildren. it was a wonderful family experience and my young children have a much greater understanding, respect for and love of of the elderly after our time together. We need more families to recognize that, especially when times are such that we could combine families instead of filing up the shelters (which by the, we as taxpayers often do help to support).

288. Obama & his wife cannot relate to myself or my family. I am an average person, who was working, doing the best thay Icould to support my family. I have been laid off for the first time in my life. Barack Obama is very far removed from financial belt tightening. Poverty. I am close to losing my home, bought with subprime mortgage interest rates, pushed by the democrats. Ihad a dream. I had a hope, for my family. I am confonted daily, by the Obama,s luxurious lifestyle The hotel for 2 weeks at 3000 dollars per night times 14 dys, = 42000 dollars. For two weeks!!!! his vacation in Hawaii. Private school for his children at 29ooo dollars per year, each child. What is my point. What the hell does he know or feel about the average Joe.? He does not speak for myself or my family. He could care less. His family well taken care of. And don't we all know it.!!!

289. Allen, none of what's happened to you occurred while Obama was in office. Think about it. he has not taken office yet so your problems have nothing to do with him. Also, what President in history can you name that could identify with your situation? None of them are the average Joe. Most of these guys come from elite social backgrounds of money and privilege. The closest thing you have got to a President who can relate to you is Obama. I never saw George Bush, Ronald Reagan or Richard Nixon pounding the pavement to be in touch firsthand with those they were supposedly trying tomake life better for. I have seen Obama on film helping to build homes and visiting the poor neighoborhoods and spekaing candidly with the poverty stricken residents about what it would take to help and how to go about doing it. He wasn't out there shaking hands and kissing babies for a photo-op. And now, he's president. Maybe, you'll be able to keep your home after all.

292. I am just saying is all. I agree with you. Just whar is mother-in-law doing, moving into the Whitehouse ? Even if she has her own income, she will be able to invest that, for 4 yrs. Her rent, groceries , utilites, travel expense.now free. And we all know the other paid perks that she will have, covered & hidden within Whitehouse bills. This is extremely inappropriate. How large is the Barack- Michelle extended family?..I have a two word description: Blood Suckers. Feeding off the American public.

Have you read that they may not even be the biological children of the Obamas and it is part of the entire sham? How many of you encourage and allow six and nine year old kids to climb into your bed in the morning if they want "an extra ten minutes" as Michelle Obama so crassly told a reporter these two do? For you information, I AM NOT A REPUBLICAN- I JUST DON'T LIKE LIARS, AND FYI I have THREE job, yes I said THREE and I go to college, FULL TIME. So before you start throwing out the slams, be sure who you are slamming.
Something else, I am sure that a lot of the people here that do not have jobs would love to be at work rather than on this site, (see Alan's post) but another fault of yours is, you didn't check the unemployment rate before you started ranting, for heavens sake!! 300. Ridiculous. I'm sick of people knocking PE Obama before he has taken office. Where were you clowns when Bush was letting thousands drown in Katrina? Where were you idiots when he took a SURPLUS and ran up almost a TRILLION in debt for our children? Where were you fools when he killed thousands of innocent soldiers and Iraqi civilians in a war that he now acknowledges was founded on lies? Get a grip. Whatever PE Obama does couldn't be as bad as this "person" that has led our country into the next Great Depression without so much as a whimper from the simple American public.
