49. These kids would never be safe in a DC public school. They need to have security with them 24/7. Also, the president makes a lousy $250,000 a year and one of the benefits of dealing with this countrys mess is he gets to choose the school his kids get to go too. i suppose you expect him to fly commercial airlines too?

I didn't hear you complaining when the Bush girls went to private schools, who do you think paid for that? an their college? and their beer?

50. 25. Hmmmm............I thought Mr. Obama was all concerned about the everyday worker in America??? What do you think the Auto workers think about all this, especially since most of them are on the verge of loosing their jobs? I think given the state of the economy, he and his lovely family should be shown to live a little more frugally than all the vacations, private schools, etc. Am I wrong here ??

If you went to school and got a good education, got a good job, saved your money you shouldn't be able to send your kids to private schools and take a vacation after working almost every day for 2 years ... missed his own Grandmother's funeral ... went there to spread her ashes .... you are kidding right?

You think either of these 2 adults didn't make a good salary before he became President? If you want what they have then maybe you should consider doing what they did to get there - there is no one stopping you. Neither came from wealthy families, they wanted it, and they went for it.

I admire their efforts and determination it should inspire you to achieve greater things !

51. This is not fancy, just healthy. I do wish the public schools offered more than some sort of meat-filler-patty and tator-tots. All my kids get is pizza and chicken-crap, that is very fattening. They wonder why our kids are obese.

If you knew anything about school systems and the budgets that they operate on, you would know damn well that STATE tax dollars pay for Public Schools (not private schools).

The money that pays for private schools comes from endowments, grants, and oh yes, RICH PARENTS who can afford to send their kids and eat stupid lunches that have the word "organic" on the menu. Yeesh!!

Why is it that if someone makes a negative statement about Barry and his precious children, then it must be due to racism! Get the f!ck over yourself. Yes, there were alot of comments and negative ones at that, about Chelsea Clinton. They were not kind ones either. Barry will president and all the negative comments that will be said about him and his family, come with the territory! 58. If the Obama children were in public school Republithugs would complain about the Secret Service interrupting the public school day, the cost of this, blah blah blah. No children of POTUS go to public school. Hello, do you really think any president would allow their child to attend a Washington, D.C. public school? Some of you idiots act like this is new. Democrat or Republican, make no difference they all attend private schools.

Obama did not invent socio-economic disparity. He like most politians, lawyers, judges, doctors, etc. are at the top end of the spectrum and they have things like private school at their disposal. You may not like him, but he is no different than your beloved Republithugs. George Bush attended a top university because he was a legacy (i.e. a parent was graduated from the university therefore offspring are automatically admitted.) If you know your facts, legacies are the biggest form of affirmative action at Ivy League schools. The rich get richer....

As for private school in general, if you can afford it good for you! Maybe instead of spending your work day on TMZ making ignorant comments, the envious, spiteful bunch should get a 2nd job and send your kids to a private institution. Perhaps that would be more productive and fruitful than filling their heads with more idiocy, ignorance, and envy.

He's going to be prez of the U.S. I think a nice school with a fancy menu should be part of the perks.
And they are going to private schools. I suspect no one here is sending their kids to a private school.
Well, maybe if you'd gone to Yale and did something with your life and didn't take the easy road and
took a job at Walmart, your kids would too.
