If you went to school and got a good education, got a good job, saved your money you shouldn't be able to send your kids to private schools and take a vacation after working almost every day for 2 years ... missed his own Grandmother's funeral ... went there to spread her ashes .... you are kidding right?

You think either of these 2 adults didn't make a good salary before he became President? If you want what they have then maybe you should consider doing what they did to get there - there is no one stopping you. Neither came from wealthy families, they wanted it, and they went for it.

I admire their efforts and determination it should inspire you to achieve greater things !

First of all, I graduated from UCLA and worked my way through 4 years, so don't even go there. And I work 50 +hours a week, am a single mother of 3 and am currently putting my oldest through college and haven't taken vacation time in over 4 years so I am sorry Obama missed the public memorial service fofr his grandmother. She knew he loved her.
IF he were just an average citizen making $250K plus a year, I would have no problem with him sending his kids to private school! BUT when you get elected to office on the platform of being for the people, spreading the wealth of wealthy people, etc. I don't think he is setting a very good example for the rest of us who are supposed to be "tightening our belts" ! Oh and by the way, I voted for him, which I am starting to regret now.

our daughter goes to a comparable private school and the menus for lower/middle and upper school all look like that. Maybe better ingredients (organic) but in the end it's stll pasta and veggies, they jazz up the wording a bit. Plus, when we pay $15,000 a year for tuition, we except some better snacks and lunches,dammit! ;)

70. # 50, how does this relate to a lack of concern for the everyday worker? its a school lunch menu. its not like everyday people deliver food to schools, prepare meals for and teach these kids... even a 'well paid' teacher still makes crap compared to most professions... that is one job that will always be in demand, as long as there are children. maybe all the unemployed business execs should just get thier teaching certificate..
