50. perezSux, their cult religion does not acknowledge that autism exists. So they do not treat it. With the right meds and some therapy, Jett would not only still be here today, but he would have had a much better quality of life than he did. His parents are still lying about what he really had. They are still saying "Kawasaki Syndrome". This has already been shot down by several doctors. Jett was autistic. It's not a witch hunt, people have been trying to get the Travolta's to help their son for years now, but they never would. Now he is dead. This speaks volumes about the Travoltas.

51. Grand mal seizures are very scary and death-like. People have them everyday. But they pass. Doctors dont know everything. Meds dont work for some people. How is this the familys fault? People suffer with much worse than this child has. He had a family that loved him and gave him the best medical care and best of everything. Religion has nothing to do with it.

52. To Rita:
Just out of curiousity - are you a scientologist? Otherwise, where in the hell did you get your facts that scientologists do not acknowledge autism. OOOH, let me guess - F'n Tabloids. Shame on any of you for acting like know-it-alls with somebody elses lives.

53. perezSux, youre right - religion has nothing to do with it... the Scientology Cult has everything to do with it .

54. perezSux--Either you are young or what but when my mom had a seizure in the parking lot of the grocery store and fell on the concrete GUESS WHAT?? SHE SUFFERED. She had forgotten a pill Just imagine doing that through out your life wether its 2 or 3 times a week or 8 times in his life time. I wouldn't want to have one of what my mom had. Don't speak again until you have grown up a little Just advice...

55. They didnt publicly acknowledge their son had autism. But no ones knows what therapies hes had. Everyone ASSumes. There are many people with autistic children that dont follow the recommended therapies either. Maybe they arent religious fanatics but they are obsessed with the kid being mercury poisoned so they only do alternative treatments such as diet and chelation. That alone doesnt work either. How come there is no outrage with those people? They are just as much in denial about their childrens condition, even if they acknowledge autism..they deny that it is mostly a genetic predisposition..they dont give them the proper medical care. Anyways, There is no cure for autism!

57. hello777 - Didn't you just post this on another thread? Just curious if it is the same person.

210. At first I was quite disgusted with comments bashing the parents and people screaming "neglect". I did some googling for "jet travolta". I was shocked to see websites dating back to 2006 requestiong the Travoltas PLEASE for the sake of that child, get out of Scientology and get Jett the professional medical attention he needs. That is so damn heartbreaking.

58. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Travolta family and friends. The road ahead will be very long and excruciating, take advantage of the support that's out there. I too lost my 16 year old 8 and 1/2 years ago, nothing can hurt more or even be compared to, as loosing your child.

59. Did scientology have a part in this death! THINK ABOUT IT.

60. So whos to blame for your mothers seizures, Lisa? They happen. Your mother was lucky she found a pill that helped. She also probably did not have an underlying developmental disability so it was easier to medicate. She also was probably able to tell her doctor when the medication made her feel funny..or become zombielike. Im guessing Jett wasnt able to do that so the family had to figure it out. Im guessing when weighing the options of having severe internal injuries and stopping a med..they chose to stop the med. Ive had to stop meds myself that were helping a condition because I started having liver damage. There is no magic solution and no one-size -fits all treatment. Its easier for everyone to sit back and judge. How very sad.
