121. It will make me gag if he wins. I used to like them, now they make me sick.

122. No, Sarah, I don't believe that at all. I think they adored their boy, absolutely, and purely an accident. This is the worst press Scientology could ever ask for, that's why they're out in droves doing damage control. They're heartless but not stupid.

124. I disagree, Robert. I think they are completely stupid. His attorneys/friends are idiots. If you watched their press releases, it was the WORST PR anyone could ever ask for, ever!! It made a mockery of the Travoltas, and made them look like liars, right then and there. That started the problem. I don't think they thought that anyone in the public would have given a damn about Jett's passing; and that is why they were SOO not prepared with their answers. That is when the stumbling over themselves began. They didn't expect anyone to question it. But it should be questioned. There is something wrong about all of this.

125. I can't help but wonder if this boy had epilepsy. It just seems from what I've read that Kawasaki disease is known for causing heart problems, but that's not what Jett died of, apparently. I doubt that KD was the only thing wrong with Jett, bless his soul. I feel terrible for his family, but Jett didn't have to die. With two nannies, one should have been on alert for Jett at all times, not snoozing it up in the room next door. It doesn't help to have alarms on all the doors if no one is monitoring them.

126. Sarah, I have to admit, I don't watch television, except nature shows, I get all my info from the internet, so I probably missed what you are talking about re: the lawyers. Basically, I've been reading the press releases thru Reuters/UPI as they come out. Frankly, I knew very little about Scientology until the last week or so, where I couldn't help but immerse myself in everything I could get my hands on, because the more I read, the wierder it becomes. The saddest story, or most frightening I should say, is the story about Theresa Duncan and Jeremy Blake, two filmmakers, now both dead of apparent suicides, whose lives were threatened by the church. Read "The Golden Suicides" at Vanity Fair if you get a chance. But if you peruse the internet, avoid "Theresaduncancentral" until later, that site is a Scientology-created slander site against her. When I went there, after reading all I could about her, and saw how and what they wrote about this woman, it so gave me the creeps.......I actually feel "sober" now, like staring into something or someone so dark.......you kind of feel like being a better person, you know? Like your own bitterness about whatever's been bothering you is no longer such a big thing, because now you've seen other people who are more bitter and hateful than you yourself could imagine youself being. Well, maybe that's what all the dark is for.....so you'll run to the light. (smile)

127. I watched Greta Van Susteren on her Fox show tonight discuss this story. I was surprised at how her normal pit bull-self was treating this case with kid gloves. Later, I came across a CBS story discussing how Scientologists prefer to cremate their dead. I saw a link about celebrities who are Scientologists. Guess what? Dear ol' Greta is one of THEM! No wonder there won't be anything hard-hitting out of her regarding this issue. Perhaps she should have been upfront with her viewers, don't ya think?

128. I just went back and read your post again, Sarah. What do you believe then? Or what are you thinking could be a possibility?

130. I have also been reading tons about Scientology and about Jett since this happened. I did not know much before this either. And about the lack of treatment given to anyone with mental health issues in their religion. How he was never seen much of and his lawyers said that it was not uncommon for him to sleep 12-16 hours/day. They said that for him to not be present was not unusual because of that. Autism is listed in the diagnostic and statistical manual for mental health. Scientologists don't believe anything to do with mental health; they believe that the mind heals itself. If that is the case, and he did have autism, he would be considered a "degraded human being." So, recognizing Autism for them would be going against their religious beliefs. Autism is linked to seizures; esp in adolescence. Depakote is a common med, but they could have tried others. By hiding him away, they could deny he had issues, and therefore deny he needed treatment. They were negligent. It seems he didn't have appropriate schooling to help him communicate. There are devices used to communicate with others for children in need, like the Dynavox. I wonder, did they try this?? There are conflicting stories, they say he was in a small bathroom area that had a door, which sounds like it was separated from the rest of the bath. So, how did he hit his head on the bathtub? Was he enrolled in any school? That is a legal obligation for children to have the right to learn.

L. Ron and Scientology had written to the FBI in the 1950's and talked in a ranting nature how different people had committed suicide or murdered others and other people in his organization had used this for publicity gain in the organization. It seems like Jett was becoming a burden to them of such an extreme and obvious nature (6 ft 3 and 300 lbs), that could no longer be denied. How convenient to die of natural causes. Esp when 2 nannies are charged to take care of him.

Now I just see on TV tonight that the Golden Globes are coming up this weekend or sometime soon, and John is nominated for his voice in Dolt or whatever it was?? The commentators were talking about if he wins, and people making tributes to John, etc. They also discussed how a death in the family can affect someone's career. I am willing to bet, scientology is hoping for the sympathy vote, and for people to come out in droves of support and defense for the loving parents and for his career to skyrocket, esp after the pictures of him surfaced kissing/embracing another man last year.

131. Ah the green-eyed monster (jealousy) rears it ugly head from a sociopath/slave. I take delight in your comment chat'rs, I shall NAM MYO HO RENGE KYO you tonight in my chanting (the eternal law of cause and effect). A bit of ancient Japanese voo-doo and pray for your demise and all of your kind. LOL.

132. It is interesting that the news media seems very careful not to lean toward questioning or normal inquiry. What's the deal are they afraid of lawsuits since the Scientology people most likely have much money at their disposal..Hopefully this unfortunate tragedy for Jett will turn out for good somehow for the Travoltas. Perhaps they will do some heart searching and really dig deeper and see the truth about what Scientology really is. I too wonder about how quick this cremation was and whether samples from the autopsy were kept for further study if necessary. I am glad that Jett no longer has to suffer with the horrible seizures he endured.

133. Okay, I see your point Sarah, but you know the nanny of Jett's was Jeff Kathrein, right? The guy who was photographed kissing Travolta, who runs the wedding picture business. So that is his lover, I have no doubt. He would have to be in cahoots with the Scientology bigwigs to create a murder. And if you mean the Travoltas themselves, which I need to re-read your post, I definately don't think they would desire that in any way. He was considered a "lesser being" by Scientology standards, and the Travoltas had been in the news for years for their neglect, but I think their love of him was pretty undeniable, I think they chose to ignore the Autism aspect. But suddenly, I just thought of the fact it was in the Bahamas.......again, in the Bahamas, offshore. Hmmmmmm. I'll give it some thought. Thanks for your insights tonight, I'm checking out, don't let the bedbugs bite......or ROACHES in the case of Lisa McPherson, OMG. Enough nightmares for the night. Like Dollar Store Diva said Goonight to all and to all a goodnights...heathens, and christians and scientologists alike....

134. Condolences to the Travoltas. Jett T. appeared to be mentally backward, especially in the video in which his Dad was leading him to the vehicle. Is Scientology so cultish, backward, to brush aside medical opinions? Does S. endorse homeopathic lack of treatment?

135. What I just read in a British online newspaper a Scientology Van or vehicle with their emblem strickingly visible on it meet them where the plane flown by John Travolta landed in Ocala, Florida. Also states that Tom Cruice, Katie Holmes and other Scientology members will be at the memorial service held for Jett. Somehow I'm so upset and angry about thr control Scientology holds over these people and how Jett was manipulated by this horrific CULT!!!
Hopefully they'll wake up. Jett no longer has to deal with that crazyness and oppression any longer bless his heart.
