36. Sam, please take the advice of people on this site who wish you well and get as far away from Lindsay as you can. What you need is a nice girl to love you and cherish you and not suck out all your vital energies like a vampire. Lindsay needs professional help, which you cannot give.

It is obvious that you love Lindsay, but just know that her kind of love is very toxic and can kill.

We are rooting for you Sam, stay strong.

38. I've never thought this relationship was genuine, there has always been something creepy about it and not because of sexual orientation. I've had friends in loving lesbian relationships where it seemed like any other normal healthy relationship. There was just always something not quite real about this one. Lindsay seemed as though she was grasping and needing love and attention anywhere she could get it and although Samantha may be a perfectly decent person I find her quite repulsive, skinny, slouchy and a little sleezy. It seemed as though a lot of Lindsay's public dramas have been related to Samantha and although that may not be Ronson's fault, it could be that it is just a destructive relationship.
Lindsay may have done her stint in rehab and came back looking really good but she obviously felt she was above following the advice of the counsellors. She was involved with a guy while she was a resident and even brought him back to LA with her and then she went public with her relationship with Samantha. Lindsay doesn't appear to take her own problems seriously and until she admits that she has a substance abuse problem and makes the decision to avoid all alcohol and drugs that part of her problems will not be solved. A DJ is the last person she should be hanging out with too since, uh, that means hanging out at nightclubs. It wouldn't hurt if she realized that alcohol abuse is often hereditary and if her father has a problem she obviously was at risk which played out with the DUI and some of the pictures that have surfaced showing her erratic behavior.
It's easy for strangers like me to sit back and speculate but I am actually a fan of Lindsay's acting. Mean Girls is one of my favorite movies, the camera loves her, she is talented and pretty and still very young. I wish her all the best but nothing will ever work out for her until she stays out of relationships for a while, ditches the booze, drugs and cigarettes, gets into some serious psychiatric therapy, (one on one with a real psychiatrist) and maybe learns enough humility to admit she has problems and meets them head on. She had a promising acting career and I'd like to see her get back to work and out of the tabloids.
