Travolta Memorial Small, Sans Stars

We made dozens of calls yesterday re: Jett Travolta's memorial service and it appears the stars will not be flocking to Ocala, Florida.

From all signs, the service will be relatively small and held at the home of John Travolta and Kelly Preston. So far there are no overt signs Tom Cruise will show. Oprah definitely won't because she's out of the country. Ditto Will Smith, who's in Berlin. Jenna Elfman's rep says she's "unsure" if Jenna will attend.

We've been at the local airports and so far no celebs have flown in for tomorrow's service.

On the other hand, the local flower shops say they've been flooded with orders.

From all appearances the memorial is a small, close-friends-and-family affair. So far the local sheriffs haven't been asked to provide security -- further proof it will be low-key.

We're at the airports today. To be continued ...

16. As a mother of a 16 yr old son, i can't even begin to imagine what it would feel like to lose him. My deepest sympathy to the Travolta Family.
I think the PAP's and any other kind of News people should just drop the story and leave them alone to greive in private. Let them be NORMAL PEOPLE for awhile!

18. come on and put up a poll ---- HOW MANY TMZ READERS WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THIS...

not me. i'm a huge john fan and i'm sorry that he and his wife and family are going through this, but do we really need to know who is showing up for a CHILD'S DEATH?

tacky tacky tacky

19. Hey TMZ, of course the stars won't show...this is way to controversial. What I really think we need to know is whether Jett's caregivers are still there...you know the ones who let the kid die alone in the bathroom. I still think they probably regularly drugged the kid so they could have a good night's sleep. Let's see the texicology reports.

21. You cant just go blaming the parents for allowing him on the skis. They just wanted him to have a normal childhood, and if Jet-skiing is what he wanted to do, he should be allowed, even if he was autistic.

22. "We've been at the local airports and so far no celebs have flown in for tomorrow's service"......Wow, just leave these people alone. Let them grieve in private.....you are really ruthless.

23. So it seems that Jett Travolta died of an Epileptic seizure and that he was autistic but had no head trauma, which defies that story his parents fed us. Why is this? Because neurological conditions are deemed derogatory in the CO$ and autism is seen as a 'mental illness' not a developmental condition.
So, whilst he was having 4 seizures a week, the Travoltas decided 'HEY LET'S DO SUMMIT ABOUT DIS AIIIIIGHT' and got him on the AED Dapakote which reduced his seizures to 1 every 3 weeks. Now let me tell you as someone who is Epileptic and has Grand Mal seizures THEY AINT NICE it feels like someone has taken your head off, threw it against a wall, kicked you in the stomach a good 6 thousand times oh and let's not forget the vomiting and the biting chunks out of your mouth and tongue and if you're really lucky you might just crap yourself too. So yeah, the Travolta's were probably at Sir. Toms' house one night and he was like 'hey yeah something or nothing about your kid but yeah no more meds, k? yeah.' So without any withdrawl from his AED which can lead to depression, rage, increase in seizures and not forgetting the usual side effects such as blood clotting and kidney failure they just stopped his AED completely leaving the poor kid to continue having several seizures a week, which ultimately lead to his untimely and certainly avoidable death. So his parents cry poor us. YES POOR YOU, because you have lost your beautiful son but also you know you could have prevented this.
My parents are sitting asking themselves why would you put your religious beliefs before your seriously ill child? As it is a serious illness but with the right AED as there is over 50 and sometimes you need a combination you can lead a perfectly normal life and his autism could have been controlled had you just listened to your common sense and not Ron L. Hubbard now epileptic people on epilepsy forums all over the world can't express their sorrow over your loss enough but they are damn angry at you because in reality all in all ultimately... it's your fault.

24. I am sure they are grieving in private - I highly doubt that the family is at the airport. Now if TMZ were at the home of the family then I could understand saying let them grieve in private.

Besides - you came, you scrolled, AND you clicked then commented. You are obviously at least somewhat interested, if not then why invest your time?

Just sayin'

26. For all those who would like to read some lovely gestures expressed to the Travolta family regarding their heartbreaking loss, I'd suggest they go to www.legacy.com There are some lovely posts there, not junk and criticism. Some nice poetry and pictures etc. Peace to the Travoltas as they endure this heartache. Jett's at peace I'm sure.

27. This isn't a joyful event like a wedding or something where we would want to see stars showing up. Time to let this one go tmzurd.

28. Please consider backing off this family. Celebrity gossip is fine and all...but this family is grieving can you please consider letting them do it with out having to deal with paparazzi...this is a private matter for them and their loved ones.

29. Harv,
Allot of stuff is fine here.. BUT this was a child , please just let this go... as far as I know Mr. Travolta has always been respectful of the press so why not be respectful to him and his family just this once ? Please.
