Travolta Mourners Bombard Wrong Funeral Home

The Hiers-Baxley Funeral Home in Ocala, Fla. is being overrun with cards, flowers and phone calls from tons of sympathetic Travolta fans. Problem is, the home isn't doing Jett's funeral.

Reps from Hiers-Baxley have no idea why people are calling them since they've never been asked to handle any of the arrangements. But funeral home reps say they've been flooded with so many deliveries, they've had reach out to John's publicity firm, Rogers and Cowen, for help. R&C has instructed the funeral home to forward only the cards to the firm's L.A. offices.

As for the loads of flowers, reps at the funeral home still aren't sure what to do with them.

17. I like the idea of taking them to hospitals and nursing homes and children's hospitals..:)

18. It isn't up to the funeral home to do anything with the flowers. I am sure that they are very busy with their own clients.

Perhaps the flowers are coming from 1-800 Flowers, or similarly.

Why do strangers send flowers, when not only do they not know the family - they don't even know the arrangements?

19. Sending flowers to the hospitals and nursing homes is a great idea -- but only if the arrangements don't look too funeral-like (do you know what I mean?). I think the funeral home is at a loss where to send them because there IS NO FUNERAL! My understanding from MSNBC is that there is a private memorial service being held at the Travolta's HOME, not at a funeral home.

To those people carrying on about the Travoltas, Scientology and autism -- give it a rest. We aren't living their lives. We don't know how much they loved their child (though from the pictures and interviews I imagine it was quite a lot), and we don't know what lengths they went to in their attempts to treat his disorders. I DO know that depakote is a horrible drug. I took it myself and took myself off because it made me feel like a cotton-mouthed, spaced out zombie. Depakote is also a very dangerous drug that frequently causes liver damage and, in turn, damages the other major organs. Choosing to stay on depakote can be like playing Russian roulette with your life. Given the fact that it was no longer controlling Jett's seizures, the Travoltas decided the benefits no longer outweighed the risks. If you were in their shoes, maybe you'd make the same decision...

20. And it continues. I can't believe it's taken me this long to figure this out, but TMZ keeps reporting in with these itty bitty tidbits that don't really amount to anything, they're just little teasers designed to arouse suspicions (in generally suspicious people, anyway). Then they sit back and let the commenters write their Choose Your Own Celebrity Scandal story.

What's the next big scoop? This just in: a box of candy was just delivered to the funeral home. TMZ still hasn't figured out what KIND of candy it is or how big the box is. More on this as it develops.

21. How horribly rude to reject all of the flowers sent by people sending their condolences and love. Even if they do not want them, it is cold and tacky to refuse them. Also there are many people in nursing homes, both women and men, who have no family what so ever and would love to receive such a gift. And what is that idiot funeral home doing accepting flowers intended
for a funeral they are not holding. Basic manners, folks.

24. LEAVE THE FAMILY ALONE! LET THEM MOURN IN PEACE. YOU GUYS ARE SENSATIONALIZING THE DEATH OF A CHILD BECAUSE HIS DAD IS A CELEBRITY. WE ALL ALREADY KNOW HE PASSED AWAY. MOVE ON.. SERIOUSLY YOU GUYS ARE PATHETIC.

25. 14. The poor people at this funeral home were probably so bewildered when the started getting delivery after delivery! John's people must be afraid that the flowers may have bombs in them if they only want the cards forwarded.

No oopsie, the fear is of cameras and microphones in the flowers overhearing covert plans to smash "Suppressive Persons" Anonymous, and TMZ. Travolta has personally financed the Scientology "War Chest" to do this - rather than spending money on medication, evidently.

(The NSA actually has a mechanical fly for eavesdropping, and the US Army used a synthetic turd along the roadsides in Iraq as a sensor. Flowers can be quite fearful to scientologists constantly attacking their perceive enemies, and they are quite familiar with turds.)

And Dad9, we HAVE left them in "piece." Their cult must have drove them schizophrenic long ago.

Travolta should learn how little he is liked and respected for his cultic activities, proselytizing on network television, and financing of the war "Scientology vs. the Internet." We didn't start this information war, but we'll finish it.

We are particularly alarmed by what seems to be deliberate witholding of medication due to Hubbard dogma.
