Travolta Mourners Bombard Wrong Funeral Home

The Hiers-Baxley Funeral Home in Ocala, Fla. is being overrun with cards, flowers and phone calls from tons of sympathetic Travolta fans. Problem is, the home isn't doing Jett's funeral.

Reps from Hiers-Baxley have no idea why people are calling them since they've never been asked to handle any of the arrangements. But funeral home reps say they've been flooded with so many deliveries, they've had reach out to John's publicity firm, Rogers and Cowen, for help. R&C has instructed the funeral home to forward only the cards to the firm's L.A. offices.

As for the loads of flowers, reps at the funeral home still aren't sure what to do with them.

31. I could be wrong but I believe that ET is showing footage of this funeral home whenever they talk about the Travoltas. That could be why everyone thinks its this place.

32. Scientology is secretive, therefore you're not going to know when or where the funeral is. As far as the flowers, BRING THEM TO SICK PEOPLE IN HOSPITALS!!!

33. Exscientologykids.org is an excellent site created by children, now adults, who were raised in Scientology households and their experiences in trying to leave the fold. They provide support for those who wish to leave but are afraid.

34. On a serious note, depakote is not "an evil drug" for everyone! And of course when one works or doesn't work I mean, you find another one. There are plenty of people that have good things to say about depakote, and plenty who have bad things to say. If someone is doing wel on depakote, you don't go tell them it's a horrible drug. So just because one had a bad experience or even a million, it might save another's life. So please, don't base your opinion on a drug on what it did to you. Everyone's body reacts differently to different meds.

36. They showed the funeral home on the local news here in Ocala when the story first broke. Then the national news started showing the same video days later. No one checked. Great going Press.

39. Even if John were to somehow realize at this point that he shouldn't have listened to the cult, he won't ever be able to say it. If he even hinted at it, the Scientologists would say "Ya know John, Ella is such a sweet little girl. It would be a shame if something bad were to happen to her."

41. I do not know why people would spend so much money on flowers in these economically difficult times. I hope that they don't get thrown into the garbage. As some posters have said, bring them to the hospital. That is a very good idea.

43. The body is in an urn as it was cremated in the Bahamas. No need for a funeral home in Ocala. The memorial is at 4pm Thursday at the HOME. It is private with local neighbors, family and some out of town guests. Some staying at the home and some at the Hilton in Ocala. It is not a secret , It is private and every grieving parent deserves to say goodbye to their beloved child with friends that knew the child and them, not fans. Be kind dear ones.
