Celebrity Justice
Brolin/Wright Got Off Easy Compared to This

Turns out the Josh Brolin/Jeffrey Wright arrest video in Shreveport, Louisiana was tame -- compared to this incident. A woman had the crap beaten out of her by Shreveport's finest back in 2007.

106. Is this America or Communist China? WTF! If she was getting out of control, she should of been restrained. This is freaking nuts!

109. Oh my god, that is so sad.

Was he only fired, or also put in jail for a while?

110. The woman wanted to call someone- he should have let her. I really don't see the trouble in allowing a woman to make a phone call in this situation. Or was he afraid because he knew that he had already gone beyond what his duty was as a police officer, and that would have become very clear, very fast? To take a woman-as a male cop- into an isolated room, only a video camera present. I can bet that she would not have wanted to use whatever was/or had been recorded as evidence, to be reviewed in a court of law, if it had happened according to the desire of the cop. But I am sure that there is no equal punishment that he will ever experience. Well, not one that will ever become public like this.

111. You expected that cop to act like a civilzed human being? It's SHREVEPORT, LOUISIANA! Officer Willis was probably in a bad mood after a a heated lovers' quarrel with his sister!

112. This just sickens me and makes me never to want to be so vulnerable. This cop was on a power trip. He probably has low self-esteem and was going to teach this lady a lesson. Well the only lesson it served is to show us how cruel and disrespectful he is of a helpless woman. To see all that blood was shocking and it made me sad for her to be brutalized for nothing--just wanting her rights. He covered the camera because he wanted to get his jollies. He is pathetic!!

113. Whoever thinks this cop was in the right because she was a drunk and could have killed someone - the fact is she was in custody already and no longer a threat to anyone, including the police. This is just another example of the mentality of police offers who believe their authority is absolute over the citizens they have sworn to protect and to serve.

Beating ANYONE (especially a woman) while in handcuffs is the most COWARDLY act imaginable. If you condone the actions of this officer may Karma place you in the same situation as this woman some day.

114. Wow....this is sick. Really sick. Sure she was not complacent at first but once he hand-cuffed her and sat her down, she calmed down....AND HE continue to beat her then. I usually support the police, but in this case, he WAY crossed the line. Once you have resistant, you stop. PERIOD.

115. To all you nit wits who think she "got what she deserved".....do I little research. This story was all over the news when it happened. She and her attorney (Ron Miciotto) made the national news including every morning show. The city setteled out of court (surprise!) and the dirty cop was fired.

Lindsey - so glad your family mamber is a fire fighter in Shreveport and not a police officer. In this day of video and audio tapes (when they are not turned off before the beating of course) - pictures don't lie. Sam's Town has the vidoe tape of her hitting a parked car while trying to get out of her parking space. Yeah, she was drunk (and should have NOT been driving)...but she was also pissed! She lives in Shreveport and KNOWS what happens there when the police are involved.
Her face looks fine before - must have been a small tree she hit. Jeeezzzzz....

116.

Lost his job? Why is this criminal not in jail! OMG. The woman was probably drunk, but you can't just beat the chit out of someone like that. The amount of blood on the floor was shocking. That beating wasn't a single slap or punch either. That was a prolonged beating.

117. Disgusting. I agree that the cop shouldn't have just been fired, he should be charged with attempted murder! She was a WOMAN in HANDCUFFS! How much of a threat could she possibly have posed?!?! This is the problem with many police. It is WAY to EASY to become a cop, so you get these moron, power tripping, egocentric idiots walking around "enforcing the law" with guns, night sticks, tasors and pepper spray. Dispicable and vile. We have a serious problem with law enforcement in this country. PIG! PIG! PIG! That poor woman!!!
