TMZ has learned Kevin Costner was rushed to the hospital Tuesday.
It happened in Hollywood, at around 10 AM. We're told Costner was driving to a meeting when he began feeling ill and lightheaded -- so bad he pulled over and called 911. As he waited for paramedics, we're told Costner began vomiting.
Costner was taken by ambulance to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he was held overnight for tests. We're told the tests were normal and he was released yesterday.

People, wise up. It's not Costner's fault this story was posted. It's TMZ, they obviously had a slow news day. Being Costner's age, he could have been having warning signs of a heart attack. The majority of these posts exhibit ignorance and I must be really bored to comment.
And by the way, the "flu" is not stomach related, it's respiatory. Educate yourself on what Influenza is. Stomach ailments are called Gastroenteritis.

Perhaps you would have been happier if he had been having a serious life threatening situation such as a stoke or heart attack and had passed away? I'm not a medical professional, but I am somtimes "psychic" for lack of a better word. I think he had a seziure brought on by a possible brain tumor. I hope to God that isn't true, but I'd suggest an MRI.

Costner had a pulmonary embolis 4 years ago...and thats a fact. I dunno if that has symptoms of nausea and vomiting or lightheadness. But he does have some medical issues. so quit whining....

Come on everyone go easy on the guy. Kevin Costner, a man in his mid-fifties, is in remarkably good physical shape. Most likely the nausea, light-headed and vomiting were due to food poisoning which seems to be rampant nowadays. He had the good sense to pull over and call 911. If Kevin Costner were ill would he be scheduling a Super Bowl party in Tampa?

Right on, Lita. Remember John Ritter's symptoms started out with nausea and vomiting. He was dead hours later. Would it have been better if he had kept driving? What if he went unconscious? He could have killed others and/or himself.
