Kid Rock Tells Judge to Suck It!

16. The childish Kid does NOT have a valid point... he wants to entertain the troops, then GREAT, he should. It has NO bearing on his court case, not does the judge not accepting that as part of his community service has no bearing on his (the judge's) feelings about the troops. They are 2 separate events. No one gets to CHOOSE what community service they do. Anyone would rather get on a stage than pick up trash, sheesh.

I also hope the judge adds on to Kid's sentence for being such an immature loser.

17. i was in england visiting my son in the airforce at the time kid rock was in iraq. he was supposed to play for the troops on base. he never showed up. everyone was disappointed, but mostly pissed. i couldnt figure out why he didnt show up and the rest of the performers did. now i know why. it was court ordered. he went to iraq and that was all he thought he needed to do. kid rock only cares about himself. i saw the reaction from the soldiers when he didnt show up. just wanted to let his fans know that he in not a true american.

21. Community service should be for the community.... not the troops. You don't perform for troops in Iraq to pay off some community service debt to a judge, you do it because you genuinly care for the troops, and their happiness, and want to spend some time with the bravest men and women in the world... those who are fighting so you can continue to enjoy living and playing music in this country freely. If you don't like what the judge tells you, then stop getting in trouble and you won't have to see him anymore.

22. Community service is supposed to be a punishment. Since Kid likes to entertain and was going to Iraq anyway, why should he be abale to count it as community service?? Some of ;you people who applaud his disrepect for our court system need to grow up. He is nothing special.

23. This "Kid" says that to a judge and wasn't held in contempt? You or I would have been tossed in jail for sure. Read the post on page 2 by amy cummings. When it came to Iraq, he never showed up! Yeah he is a real hero entertaining our troops - a no show, although he is so bizarre, a no show for him WOULD be entertaining! These so called celebrities get away with fat too much. I also pose a question: HOW is it that some of these true weirdos end up being "celebrities" anyway and make millions of dollars? There are far more deserving who are not lunatics or rappers who spend their millions on "bling" and whatever else, ending up bankrupt after a short time because they threw away millions of dollars. Kid Rock looks more like someone who should be working for city Sanitation Dept. Then there are those who were once favorites like Fantasia who forgets the poverty she came from and ends up in foreclosure. It's a shame. That's it though, let Kid Rock do his 80 hours picking up garbage. I know garbage men who deserve the millions he makes more than he does. Perhaps they can switch jobs since the judge was too much of a coward to just toss him in jail for contempt for shooting off his big, obnoxious mouth!

25. This judge is being a jerk. If he didn't get paid for the concerts, then entertaining our troops in a war torn country is considered "community service" in my book.

In the law book it states: "A Community Service Order involves wellprepared,
meaningful activity, which whenever possible, relates to the offender’s
interests, skills and abilities. The offender must be willing to participate in
the program. "
It sounds to me as if he did this. So what's the judge's beef?

26. He can go and clean up trash on the highway, but what will that do? He is still gonna be Kid Rock, the rebel. If he sang for the troops, at least they would benefit. Kid is all American, he loves his country and I guess the zillions of dollars he has means zillions of people love him, so a couple of idiots here that wish him ill will are just jealous and ignorant and don't matter in the least. The judge is wrong, not all court officers are straight up. Sounds like this bastard didn't get bought by Rock, so he is mad.

28. Kid Rock who let this wannabe have that moniker, He is such a spoiler and pretentious jerk. He broke the law and the judge gave him a sentence. Do the crime, do the time. Entertaining the troops is a PR thing for this jerk. Otherwise he would not have asked the judge to wave he sentence. Just another celeb who thinks he is above the law.
