Struggling to find the right words, Cruise addressed the emotional topic during a taping for tomorrow's episode of "The View," where he claimed his religion does not prohibit people from seeing a doctor and getting proper medication.

136. What is wrong with you people. My name is Lauren. I am 13 years old and a Christian. I have visited two sites on line that have actually turned my stomach and have made me cry.

My heart breaks for Mr. and Mrs. Travolta. I can't believe that you can see a man and his family in so much pain and see so much mocking of his family. Not only do you mock him, but you mock Mr. Cruise just because he is offering his condolances. As I said, I am a Christian and I do not subscribe to any of the believings of Mr. and Mrs. Travolta or Mr. Cruise. Yes, I believe it is a false religion. Yes, I believe that the only way to get to heaven is through knowing and accepting Jesus Christ. However, I also know that if Jesus were walking the earth in the flesh, he would sit down with them and have dinner. Not to force himself on them, but just to say he loves them.

Jesus is not a quick fix. Jesus wants to completely transform our lives, if you let him. That's the hard part, the if you let him. I also know that the very last thing he wants me to do is to mock and make fun of the ones who do not accept him. No far from it. Instead, he says, "Hey kid. Do me a favor. Go and let them see a little piece of me in you." Jesus was quite the gentleman. He would never force himself on anyone. But when he hung on that cross, he looked down on the ones who put him there and loved them anyway.

All fellow Christians, if you are the ones who are putting these mocking posts, go to the mirror and ask God to reveal yourself to you. Can you do it? Do you have the guts? To all of those who don't know Jesus, I'll say the same thing that I said on the other board I saw tonight. In the words of an awesome singer, Nichole Nordeman --- What if you're wrong? What if there's more? What if there's hope you never dreamed of hoping for? Take a look at her songs, "What if" and "Why." Maybe you'll understand my point of view better. (Oh and if those tug at you, try another one of hers, "Fool for You.")

Regardless of your beliefs, please, let Mr. and Mrs. Travolta grieve in peace. Please, let Mr. Cruise reach out to his friend in peace. I will be praying for all of you in this time, and asking Jesus to let you truly feel his comfort and love in your lives at this time. I hope we all let HIM in.

Blessings,
Lauren A, 8th grade

137. #79- all of the Scientologists I have seen live seem inarticulate. Have you seen any of the interviews with Katie or John? Can't put a thought together when it comes to speaking about their religion. I think it is a ploy to not really say anything, therfore not get into any trouble or bad standing with their cult/religion.

By the way, Autism is definitely based in neurology. I work with kids on the spectrum, and they can only be diagnosed by a MEDICAL doctor. The idea that autism is a "mental illness" is very outdated. Most children with autism do not need medication. What they need is to be taught language and social skills in a very structured and individualized way. The earlier they receive this instruction, the higher functioning they will be. Nowadays, many children progress to the point that their autism is barely detectable. What a shame that Scientology brands these individuals as degraded. Stupid ignorant jerks. I would be surprised if John and Kelly weren't kicking themselves for their stupidity, but of course they will go back for more brainwashing and miss the opportunity to break free from these whackjobs.

139. When Oprah did her puff piece interview with Cruise at his home in Telluride, she suspiciously didn't ask him why he has a BOMB SHELTER in the house for when the aliens come back to earth? I guess she had to upfront agree NOT to ask it, because it makes Cruise look like the NUT he is.

140. the Telluride bombshelter was built to hold Tom's shoe lifts and Katie's lifetime supply of cupcakes!!!!!! hahahah!

144. K, here we go. Scientologist don't believe in Phychiatry. They do believe in doctors. John and Kelley did everything for this child. All religions are cults. Don't believe me? go to wwww.merriam-webster.com. Their religion did not cause his death. Give up, and let him die in peace.

145. Are there any poor people who are Scientologists? I doubt it. If the medication that Jett was taking was not working anymore, why didnt they try a different one? I love when these movie stars, like Kelly Preston, get an opportunity to speak to Congress. She has no medical background, but some how, she knows everything about kids taking drugs. Losing a child is the worst kind of grief that one can suffer. For some reason, its like cool for these uneducated "stars" to belong to Scientology. You have fat ass Kirtsie Allen, Tom Cruise, John Travolta, etc. Why not go to a "regular" church? Oh I know, they are better than us.

146. Aha! Caught off guard...??? And didn't he think this subject was going to surface? One would think he would have had it rehearsed so not to look like an idiot! BronzedButtBum was right about the meds & Brooke Shields. Maybe Tommy should have jumped around on the couch like he did on Oprah...the physical activity could have knocked his brains loose and he would have spit an answer out. This is a very small part in Armegeddon...but a big one in Scientology...it's going to grow in the next three years...2012...HMMM...

147. To think how we all use to love Tom. Talk about somebody letting stardom go to his head. He has an ego the size of Texas. He is so gross now is makes a person sick. The only thing I can say in his defense, maybe the Travolta's are having family only. I think Kirste Alley is the only star that has actually been confirmed as going. They said it was private. Kirste is a true friend. Tom is a fake.

148. Just take the time to read about other's experiences and what somone knows who grew up in Scientology. Go to "exscientologykids.org", a website created by kids who grew up in Scientology.

149. to #139 judi,
Nice try......... pfttttttttttt
This whole situation is so tragic. I m sure Jett is at peace with God. I cannot even imagine what that child must have suffered. And if Tom really cared, why was he not WITH his so called friends instead of doing an interview to cover the smear against Scientology?!!!!! RIP Jett......

150. A person who has a preconceived image of someone can never be objective & fair in giving criticism on someone else. A man has been judged already and any words coming from him thou sincere will with either be ridiculed or ignored. That is how unfair life can be....Pity how once religious belief put so much weight on someone's image. Although there is freedom of religion, this is only on a sheet of paper...in reality somebody elses religion when it differs from someone is always a point of contention. Some who claim to be Christians can be so-unChristian when it comes to condemning someone who is not with the same belief as theirs. TO EACH HIS OWN...YOU PRACTICE YOUR RELIGION, I'LL PRACTICE MINE...There is a saying.."Let there be peace on earth and let peace begin with me!"
