So you want a piece of history ... for under $100,000?

This is how desperate people are to get into Barack Obama's sold out Inauguration: The Ritz Carlton Hotel in Georgetown is selling a special Inauguration package: 4 nights in the Presidential suite, a set of Gucci luggage, 2 tickets to the parade and official ball and a 4 night stay at the Ritz in Grand Cayman to recover. Price tag: $99,000.

A Hotel rep says someone bought the package.

UPDATE: The room did sell -- but not for $99,000. We're told it went for $12,000 per night.

We also found out someone did buy a $50,000 "Politically Correct" package at the The Ritz in Washington D.C. -- which includes 4-nights in a luxury suite, 2 tix to the inauguration, 2 tix to the parade, 2 tix to the ball, some jewelry, a designer tux and a dress. It's good to be rich.

18. This is not COMPLETELY TRUE. I happen to work for the travel agency that booked the presidential suite to a very well known Celebrity. The exact same suite which is included in this suposed Package deal So someone MIGHT HAVE bought this package but they will not be sleeping in the presidential suite at the Ritz Carlton. Thanks

22. Knowing the money spent on the 12 Balls the Obama's will be attending is 'private money', not government, still feel if Mr. Obama wishes to show he's 'with us' in the recession, perhaps he could have suggested better ways to spend the over $50 BILLION being spent. His halo is slipping.

24. Fmalle - Just a FYI, there are two presidential suites at the ritz in dc. one is on the club level. they have a ritz carlton suite that is even bigger than the presidential ones.

29. OfThaLight Good luck with the "non-citizens" being treated like the rest of us. Obama wants to make them all legal. Once they all come out of the woodwork with their hands out, it's only going to get worse. Of course, all those thankful folks will be voting Obama back in at the next election. There will be no disappointment in my future, as I have no expectattions.
