Moments after Josh Brolin was pepper sprayed, handcuffed and thrown in the back of a cop car in Shreveport last year, the actor was caught on tape trying to cheer up his tasered pal Jeffrey Wright -- with a game of kissyface.

New dashcam video from inside the police cruiser shows a shockingly jovial Brolin laughing his ass off while Wright tries to explain to his "W" co-star how he was just tasered by police.

The video is bizarre -- and chocked full of candid banter, with quotes like "My wife is gonna be so happy."

31. This reader/viewer does *not* get most of these reactions. Josh Brolin rocks--this only confirms it. The arbitrary attacks here sound like the same kind of jealousy and power hunger that fueled the Shreveport cops. He refused to allow an unfair situation to have power over him--which explains the defiantly beatific smile in his mugshot--and his attempts to calm and cheer up Jeffrey Wright are incredibly endearing. Yes, this video is funny. Deal with it. And know that this is the truest, best definition of a bad@$$. Seems that some viewed this in the hopes of seeing weeping and whining so they could kick when someone was down. Josh Brolin wasn't down, obviously. This display of character seems to have served to highlight the lack of same in others. Josh Brolin for Pres in 2016! Remember: a friend will bail you out of jail, a 'true' friend is sitting next to you in the back of the police car!

32. ...first, jb is a GREAT actor, america is lucky to claim him. second, anyone who doesn't step forward when someone is the victim of excessive force is a coward. and, third, just keep on defending these KIND of cops, and see where it goes. the majority of the comments on this subject were posted by ill-informed, mean-spirited sheep..hope someone like jb has my back...one could only be so lucky...
