47. To CommonSense - I thought the same thing.....until I heard his interview with Barbara Walters, basically saying at this point, quitting is not going to make one bit of difference.

55. I wish the very best for this wonderful man and awe-inspiring actor. I hope he can pull through and keep fighting, but this is a very aggressive cancer. I understand him wanting to enjoy his last days, weeks, years of life and smoke, but if he is really trying to put up a good fight, smoking is NOT helping, especially something like pneumonia. It makes it much harder to breathe and fight off such things, especially with a weakened immune system. So, much as I love Patrick, he is only fooling himself by saying smoking doesn't make a difference in his fight against cancer.
