Patrick Swayze Hospitalized

Patrick Swayze has checked himself into the hospital after he came down with pneumonia.

Swayze was supposed to take part in a presentation for his show, "The Beast" -- but when he couldn't make it, the president of the A&E network informed reporters about the situation, at Patrick's request.

"He asked us specifically to go forward with today's panel. We wish him the very best with his recovery."

Swayze revealed last year that he is battling pancreatic cancer.

47. To CommonSense - I thought the same thing.....until I heard his interview with Barbara Walters, basically saying at this point, quitting is not going to make one bit of difference.
Stay strong, Patrick, we're all in your corner. God bless.

49. Patrick, please continue to fight. You are truly one of the best actors and people of our generation. You are so full of life and so grounded. It is rare to have such beauty on the outside and the inside, along with talent, a genuine heart and a will to fight. You are an amazing inspiration and I know you can beat this thing. I know the numbers don't look good but I believe you when you say "You watch me, you watch what I can do." God Bess you! You are in my every prayer, I promise you.

55. I wish the very best for this wonderful man and awe-inspiring actor. I hope he can pull through and keep fighting, but this is a very aggressive cancer. I understand him wanting to enjoy his last days, weeks, years of life and smoke, but if he is really trying to put up a good fight, smoking is NOT helping, especially something like pneumonia. It makes it much harder to breathe and fight off such things, especially with a weakened immune system. So, much as I love Patrick, he is only fooling himself by saying smoking doesn't make a difference in his fight against cancer.

God Bless you, Patrick.

58. Baby that was a awful thing to say. (#53) Why would you want anyone taken? Those actors are someone's son, brother, father, etc. Just say something nice or nothing at all. Thank you! Again, God Bless you, Patrick. (((hugs)))
