A 62-year-old man accused of stalking Jennifer Love Hewitt has been ordered to stay the hell away from her -- and the Universal Studios Backlot Tour -- for the next three years.

JLH told a Burbank court she feared for her life after David Nolte began sending her more than 100 ridiculously graphic letters describing violent and sexual fantasies. We've seen the letters -- they're pretty frickin' gross.

Today, a judge finally approved her petition for a restraining order -- and banned the guy from going to Universal Studios in Los Angeles, where JLH shoots the "Ghost Whisperer." The guy also has been ordered to stay away from Jennifer's mom and ex-fiance.

As recently as last month, Nolte showed up at JLH's mother's house. She also believes the guy sold his house in Colorado to move to L.A. -- just to be closer to her.

18. I enjoy giving some of the "stars" a load of crap as much as anyone but stalkers are or can be serious. I hope JLH is careful and hires herself a bodyguard until things calm down. I would do the job for free as I think she has a great body. Sorry JLH, I couldn’t resist.

21. Anyone old enough to remember Rebecca Schaeffer knows how serious these situations can get. I don't usually feel sorry for celebs. They lead a charmed life for the most part and I don't feel too bad for them sacrificing some of their personal lives for the sake of fame and celebrity but stalkers should not be a part of the job description and are nothing to joke about.

24. F@#$$ing gross. There was this guy (might be same guy????) who had an suv type escalade with colorado plates? Who tried to tell me he use to date her and he made her who she is today. That happened 4 years ago. Gross. Creepy. I didn't believe it anyways.

to deal with stalkers..."every day" women have stalkers, too, but for
the non-famous, it is much harder to get law enforcement to take it

30. Doesn't she look like the chick who was stalking Paula Abdul... ok maybe that's a little mean but we don't really see this one too often. How did she know he had a house in Colorado? Is there more going on? I would'nt doubt it the chick has gone a little cookey if you ask me, Ghost whisperer. It's obvious that she has father issues i've seen the show so maybe she started to act on them and got a little carried away with an older man. If I were so pretty that no man could take his eyes off me and no matter how bad my acting was I still had a job I would seriously think about how I could change the world instead of HELP HE'S LOOKING FOR ME!
