T-Mobile Blows Off Charles Barkley

Charles BarkleyCharles Barkley must really be choking on his words now -- because T-Mobile is discontinuing its Sir Charles commercials due to his infamous DUI-for-the-sake-of-oral-sex fiasco.

A spokesperson for T-Mobile -- which features Barkley in its Fave 5 ads -- said: "Given the recent developments, for the time being, we've replaced TV ads featuring Mr. Barkley with more general-market advertising. As he works through his personal matters, we will evaluate where to go from here."

NOTE TO CHARLES: When cops tell you "everything you say can and will be held against you" -- that's a fancy way of saying "it's best if you shut your mouth."

17. Why do all the big companies endorse these overpaid ball players, no nothing sports commentors, disgusting rappers, and other forms of entertainment, just to increase their sales anyway??... They should know by now, that it is just temporary!!... I will boycott T- Mobile and any product that is endorsed by a "celebrity" and then pulled when they go to prison!! You just lost a customer forever!!...Over your stupid analysis of a criminal, posing as a upstanding citizen!!...

18. This has been a long time coming. I watch the NBA on TNT with my teenage sons and Barkley's consistent negative comments are no way to interest a kid in professional sports....TNT needs to concentrate on hiring more people like Reggie Miller, Chris Webber and what is wrong with hiring another white guy from the NBA?

Magic Johnson saw how Barkley was bringing the sport down and had the sense to jump ship for ESPN. I doubt TNT will bring him back... I can't believe a public married man would do something this dumb. But nobody ever accused Barkley of being to smar.

23. Hey Kiya, Is being in the spotlight and being well known really a blessing? I agree that he has been blessed but only in having extraordinary basketball skills at one time. There are two ways to be in well known that's famously or infamously, bur neither should command your respect, only the true character of a man should
