To Bruce, I admit fully she's a very cute/hot girl, HOWEVER what type of example is she trying to show to kids...and remember American Idol has a fan base of TEENY Bopper's and a bunch of Dumb parents ....these so called "Idol" wannabee's should take it seriously if they want a SHOT at fame and stardome.....she did NOT have to prance around in a bikini...took everything away from her voice...which I agree, was good but could use some work (I aint into screaming singers).

They are "supposed" to be setting examples and finding a GOOD role model....dunno but having some flake prance around in a bikini and wanting to "Toungue" Ryan Seacrest, is not my vision of a role model....if it was, I'd let my kids watch Paris Hilton BFF.

She is under no obligation to set any example for kids. She did what she had to in order to get noticed from a sea of thousands on a show and in an industry that specifically exalts separating yourself from the pack as a virtue. Her dress and approach while inappropriate for an office setting, are perfect for the industry and show she's auditioning for. She's hot and strategic. You can't fault her for that. If your objection to this is that the show is targeted towards kids then the burden is on the parents to intervene and prevent their kids from watching this program. Parents being parents, what a novel concept. All these catty comments are not about what's good for the kids, they reveal the ugliness of female jealousy.

i am in my early 20's, skinny, blonde, smart, pretty and married and i STILL think the girl from american idol was a joke, just because we all hate what this girl is doing doesnt mean that we are all fat,ugly,old and single!! I actually feel sorry for this girl that she feels she needs to dress like a whore in front of America just to get attention. Every girl tries to do things to get attention but this girl took it to a whole other level. If i had a daughter that acted that way in front of the entire country i cant even imagine how embarressed i would be. Bottom line is this girl is on her way to becoming a porn star/hooker and anyone who defends her just wants to get in her pants and thats sad. I hope this slut is reading everyones comments.

i give other pretty girls a lot of credit... i will not give her credit though because she didnt rely on her inner beauty. She went straight slutty there’s a difference.
She has an Okay face cute GIRLISH body.
She shouldnt have had to rely on her body to get here some where.

Bottom line its a "family show" and thats not "family appropriate."

74. Unbelievable. All this talk about "what type of example is she trying to show to kids", and other remarks that are irrelevant in the realm of the contestant's own concerns. All contestants should be worried about is performing, and that's it. The editors can edit out what we shouldn't see. It's not on the contestant, they are doing their own thing - it's NOT their show......... You people come off looking like uptight drill-seargents, as well as even jealous because you WISH you looked like that. Contestants are under NO obligation to set an example for anyone, and to assume so makes you all look like unfair jerks who are very, VERY upset by the Human body. Upset, scared, and unnescessarily bothered by a Human body that is in good health and pretty to boot. For something as innocent as a body to get you all SO upset speaks volumes about just how twisted you are in your own brains. I guarantee you, this woman was not thinking about sex while she wore that bikini - but I bet all those who complained about it WERE thinking about sex, and how she is "suggesting" of it. Do you see? Your minds go right to the worst possible thought process, because she is wearing a bikini you all immediately think of SEX. Why else would you be complaining? You're all a bunch of perverted freaks. If you are so upset by an outfit that shows more skin than usual, that means your mind has taken that sight to the furthest possible thought towards sex, thereby making you say things like "that outfit shouldn't be worn on national TV". . . . . .
