Miss USA Drops the Soap -- Takes Up Porn

She's already nailed the cheesy dialogue -- and now former soap opera villain Kelli McCarty has decided ... she just wants to be nailed.

The former Miss USA 1991 -- yeah, she was a frickin' beauty queen -- has quit the mainstream acting biz for a shot at a career in "adult entertainment."

McCarty, who played maniacal Beth Wallace on "Passions" for seven years, is now a "Vivid Entertainment" girl -- and has just wrapped on her first XXX feature, "Faithless," in which she plays the lead character to a very very supporting cast.

So, why the career move? Here's the explanation -- "I enjoy acting,and I really like sex ... so this was the perfect opportunity to combine two of my passions."

34. While I think this is a sad career move, I wonder how many of you people expressing your disgust are porn watchers. I find it funny that usually the ones who have the most judgemental things to say are the ones who allow the industry to continue by being its consumers.

Therefore, anyone who is wasting their day reading my comment has absolutely no right to judge what anyone does for a living. 43. I used to watch Passions, the girl couldn't act her way out of a paper bag. Guess she can screw her way out of it, though! Nope, don't watch porn. Don't need to! I have a husband who keeps me busy. ;D

44. I ain't buying it! Its about the cash...period! She hasn't worked as an actor since her role on that 2nd rate soap Passions. And becoming a porn star was a way to may some money. She should own up to it.
