LeVar Burton Induces Reading Rainbow Flashback

If you don't know the words to the "Reading Rainbow" song, you probably can't even read this text. But for those who can -- you'll probably appreciate the awesomeness that went down last week when longtime host LeVar Burton got on stage at a Diggnation event and suddenly busted out the coolest educational theme song ever.

3. Anyone else would look like a downright fool if they did that. But something about LeVar Burton screams coolness.

6. Probably one of the coolest, most down to earth celebrities there is bar none!

Reading Rainbow was always on at my house.

Even now, I think back on the show fondly.

Stands to reason some White racist would inadvertently call the man a coon on TMZ.

Behind the computer all Whites with an ax to grind become skinheads it seems.

This after you write that the man was nice enough to give you a ride when he should have let your ignorant ass walk!

I guess his act of kindness, his intelligence and his civility meant nothing to you.

Proof positive you just have to let some people stew in their own hate.

9. @WriteRight: 99centz was not trying to call him a "coon" nor being racist as you suggest. Kunta Kinte was the name of LeVar's character in Roots, his breakout role... he was just referring to him by that name (and unfortunately spelled it very wrong). LeVar actually has a tattoo which is an anagram of Kunta / LeVar ... so i don't think he minds being called that at all.
