Well said, Blkshepherd! I heartily agree that times have changed (I grew up with the word "colored", too). I am caucasian but I respect all races whose people try to make the world a better place. In fact, my last job before I retired was cleaning houses for senior citizens and I had many black clients who were wonderful people and so kind to me. You just cannot judge a person by the color of their skin. Racial prejudice has got to stop before it tears this great country apart.

Stupid_People- Maybe you should change your screen name to "Stupid_Me". Just because someone does not worship at the alter of your messiah and actually does not agree with his socialist views does not make them racist. You trying to turn that into something racist makes you look "stupid".

NEW FLASH!!!!! Not everyone worships at the alter of obama. Not everyone agrees with his socialist policies. And just because people disagrees with your messiah does not make them a racist. LogicalThinking -- I never gave any indication that I was a liberal or conservative; and, as a matter of fact, I did say the same thing to people who complained about Bush (41 & 43). If you are so upset about a man who has only been in office for one day, and have the ability to see what he is going to do before he does it; then, why didn't you run for President?

As far a Bush 43 goes, I don't remember hearing people judge him before he took office, or one day after -- it was several months later when people began to form their negative opinions of him.

And as far has Obama being a messiah, no one has called him that but you (and those others who agree with you). Instead of whining about something you can't do anything about, why don't you channel that energy and pray that Obama does succeed and is able to keep his promises on fixing the economy?

Peter Griffin- Don't go and get all soft on me now that I confronted you and your "Stupid_People" associate. Your reaction to the anti-obama people shows you are a liberal. As for you not hearing people judge President Bush before he took office, then you must have been living under a rock. The loony left and their friends in the media were trying to tear down President Bush as soon as he passed McCain (the media's once darling) in the Republican primaries. The media and the democrats have been very successful at painting a very bad picture of President Bush. Now just to let you know, I do blame him for alot of that. He could have quit turning the other cheeck so much and actually stood up for himself but he was trying to stick to what he said he was going to do and that was change the tone in Washington. Now look what that got him.

As for obama fixing the economy. No president (Bush 1, Clinton, Bush 2) can "fix the economy" on their own. Just like they can't mess up the economy on their own. And democrats policies have NEVER worked at "fixing the economy". They only help destroy it. The democrat policies of the last 20 plus years is what "help" cause what we are in now. Of course you will never get one to admit it. They are too busy trying to blame Bush for everything under the sun. Now I don't want to you think I am letting the republican's off easy. They had their hand in this also. Just not quite as much as the dishonest democrats.

As for the whole messiah issue. You and your fellow obama kool-aid drinkers never have to call him messiah, your reactions to his every move and your reactions to his critics says everything.

LogicalThinking -- How has my "reaction" to the anti-Obama people on this post given you or anyone else the indication that I am a liberal? I basically said that there is nothing you can do about the fact that Obama is President, and that you should accept it and move on. Even some of the other conservative posters have stated that. It might interest you to know that John McCain has moved on as well.

I have seen your posts on some earlier stories that do not have anything to do with President Obama, but you seem to tie him to them. My thinking tells me that you are way too obsessed with him and it is interfering with your so-called "logical thinking". You seem to make assumptions about people you do not know, and about the President who has only been in office for a few days.

And regarding the messiah, and me and my fellow "kool-aid drinkers" which you mentioned, and since you do not know me, how do you know what my personal reactions to President Obama are? Do you know for whom I voted? Do you know with which party I identify? Didn't think so. So it is better for you to keep silent about knowledge you do not have.

Perhaps you have been posting too long and need a vacation; and this is only a suggestion, but, you may want to back off a bit from your obsession with the new President. Someone on one of these posts may deem you a possible threat and submit your screen name(s) to a law enforcement agency. Just a suggestion.
