3. Good for him for doing some good stuff with his money for his coworkers. Its the right thing to do.

My heart goes out to the family and friends of the man that was hit and I hope the hit n run person is found and punished full on, soon.

7. Although a red SUV was seen leaving the scene, it has not been confirmed that the driver was in an SUV. Although the police do believe that it was a larger vehicle, it is still speculation at this point. Any information is extremely appreciated.

8. It's by the grace of God that he didn't kill somebody himself while he was driving around drunk. Maybe he'll learn the lesson from this that he didn't learn from that.

9. Good for him! He understand the incident that he's been through with the DUI charge. I am a resident of the Bay Area of California and we had a similar story of an elderly lady coming from or going to church was hit and pulled off the roadway and left there. Then drove away. Unfortunealy she died and this person is still at large. God bless you Pennington, repenting is good for the soul.

10. #9 EDH, quit being such a judgmental hag - while over the limit, Ty was not highly intoxicated. He drove the way many do (and don't get caught). He admitted what he did, apologized and made amends through time, work and donations. He didn't do it before, he hasn't done it since. He sounds human - and like a great guy for offering a reward out of his own pocket. Great guy.

13. Thank you, Lauren (#11) ~ I’m related to Ty and I was upset to read some of the comments made about Ty. I was going to write a response similar to what you wrote, but you phrased it better than I could. (I probably wouldn't have said, "judgemental hag," but it made me laugh.)

I don't understand why some people think poorly of Ty. I suppose it's because they don't personally know him, and what a great guy he is.

And thank you, TMZ, for reporting the story in the manner that you did. :)
