Pennington Offers Reward for Hit & Run Driver

Ty PenningtonTy Pennington is on the hunt for a hit and run driver who left a man in extremely critical condition.

Daniel Seeck, a cousin of one of Pennington's managers, was riding his bike in Santa Monica last Saturday when he was struck by an SUV. Seeck, who is 33, is on life support at UCLA Medical Center.

Pennington is offering a $10,000 reward for any info that leads to the arrest of the person who was driving the SUV. The investigator -- Chris Dawson -- is waiting for calls at (310) 458-8427.

17. Oh, so "Mumbles" ( poster number 21) is making it sound like the bicyclist is a bar drunk and by implication a DUI bicyclist. Nice going, you dolt! Now everyone will assume the hit-run vehicle driver was really a victim and it's a no-harm, no-foul, especially if the motorist turns out to be Black. Or P-Diddy. Or 50-Cent. Or someone inna Broadus fam'bl'y. Take your pick.

Thank you for your efforts to help find the jerk that did this. My boyfriend & I are friends with Dan's brother Steve and were absolutely crushed to hear about this tragedy. We hope Dan can pull through! GOOD LUCK FINDING THIS A**HOLE!

23. Im a very good friend of Dan Seeck's and Im so grateful for Ty's generosity. It's still not certain that Dan will make it, and I hope the guilty person comes forward. I wonder how they would feel if it were their brother, or son, or fiancé... as Dan recently asked his wonderful girlfriend to marry him. Dan has a heart of gold and an incredible spirit of life. My prayers are with him... I love you Dan!

26. Why does everyone assume it was a drunk driver that hit the victim? If they were drunk they probably would have hit something else and/or crashed. Maybe it was an illegal alien who knows they'd get deported. Regardless, Ty having a DUI has nothing to do with the fact that he's doing something nice for a friend. This isn't about Ty... it's about helping Dan.

27. Daniel is one of the nicest people I've ever met. I am fortunate to count him among my close friends. To say this is a tragedy is an understatement. He's still hanging on, but he's got a long way to go. If anybody has information on who hit him, please please contact the detective. Whoever did this is a danger to society and needs to be taken off the streets ASAP.
