Travolta Extortion Plot -- Caught on Tape?

TMZ has learned Bahamian police have recordings of conversations in the alleged plot to extort millions from John Travolta.

We've learned Bahamian police are using the recordings in the investigation of Obie Wilchcombe, Pleasant Bridgewater and Tarino Lightbourne. As we first reported, the plotters haggled with Travolta's reps -- initially demanding $25 mil and then reducing their demand to the mid-teens. Some of those conversations were recorded.

46. Are you people serious? You are going to boycott the Bahamas for what exactly? For doing what Americans do every day. What happened to the Travoltas was pathetic and all persons involved should be convicted. But to criminalize all of the Bahamas for their action is saying that all of America should be judged by the actions of Madoff, Bundy, Bush. Or maybe keep our kids out of your schools since all the violence in the schools were committed by Americans.

To boycott a country for a crime is ridiculous; If you were serious I guess none of you will be visiting Chicago, Las Vegas or Atlantic City anytime soon because all of those cities are riddled with corruption. Only making sure that you all are not just talk and live by your words, wouldn't want any of you coming off as hypocrites now would I.

47. THEY SHOULD JUST LEAVE HIS GFAMILY ALONE, PEOPLE TRYING TO GET MONEY OUT OF HIM THEY WILL GET CAUGHT EVENTUALLY. GOD BLESS THE TRAVOLTA FAMILY IN THIS MOMENT THEY ARE GREIVING.
