Details in Mystery Travolta Extortion Doc

John Travolta & Jett TravoltaWe've now gotten to the bottom of the mystery document that was the basis for the alleged extortion plot in the John Travolta case.

Sources connected with the investigation tell us John Travolta told EMT workers he wanted to fly his son to Florida rather than drive by ambulance to the hospital ... which was 45 minutes away.

There was a disagreement over which course would be better. John felt initially it might take the same amount of time to get his son to Florida where he might get better care.

The document at issue would have released emergency services from any liability if Travolta elected the Florida route.

In the end John realized the hospital was Jett's best hope.

46. My son has a rare condition. Our "local" hosptial is good for stitches and self-dianosed ear infections! Anything more than that and I am flying my kid to the major hospital who are up to date with technology. ! I have talked ER docs into letting me drive him 275 miles with an IV hanging from the coat hook in my Explorer, to get him to HIS doctors, who understand his medical condion! My sons Cardiologist is over 1100 miles from us! We fly twice each year for check ups and he works in conjunction with our major hospital, my sons pediatrician and the school nurse to ensure my son has the BEST care availiable! I always check for the nearest hospital with a heli-pad when we vacation in the Islands or Mexico! My first instict is to get my son to HIS doctors, in ANY emergency. I completly understand his line of thought! You get your kid stablized and get them to a REAL MEDICAL CENTER with top notch care and technology! Take my word; Medical people get quite offended when you tell them they are NOT the best! The Bahama's EMS people were offended and wanted to get even!

47. #15 and #5... you are absolute idiots. Jett isn't wearing eyeliner or mascara, good Lord, I can't believe why some people reproduce. Jett has very beautiful eyelashes, very long and curled (and no not by a person, its natural, just thought I'd point that out, because I know you were thinking it) The Travolta's wanted the best care for Jett, like he has received his entire life. I don't understand why you people have to be so judgemental, they love their children. If you had any clue whatsoever what you are talking about, they could have had Jett in a Florida hospital in about the same time it would have taken them to get to the hospital by ambulance... they were FLYING...not walking a mountain with him. I wonder how you would feel if someone was stabbing at your beliefs like you are to them. You all need to think for a few minutes before you write down you nonsense thoughts.. sheeessss!!!!!

48. OMG! You are all living on what other people say of what happen to Jett Travolta. None of us were there and TMZ and every other damn gossip reporters weren't there. So you are going to read what TMZ has to say live by that and down grade people you don't even know.
You all should be ashamed of yourself.

49. Jett is not wearing mascara for heaven's sake...he had beautiful dark features and it only looks like he has it on. He was a very sweet kid and I don't know why this document would be worth $20 million dollars. Would you want an EMT working on your child who would have no problem extorting $20 million from you? The only thing that confuses me is why they were in the Bahamas in the first place if Jett had such frequent seizures and they didn't want Bahama hospitals treating him. But ya know what...it's none of my business!!

50. So you think you can fly to Florida in the same amount of time? The clock doesn't stop ticking when you land. Hospitals have helipads not landing strips for planes. Therefore, they would have needed an ambulance from where they landed to the hospital. That would have added more time. Was the hospital where they wanted to go across the street from the airport? Doubt it.

51. That little boy's smile breaks my heart. I hope that wherever he is, that he is happy. This whole situation is so sad. And I think that even if you are a scientologist, you still suffer unbearably if you lose a child. Too sad all around. May God (or whomever) help you find a way to make through tomorrow. I can't imagine the hurt that you must be feeling.

52. John Travolta is an experienced pilot and owns his own 727 which he parks in his own backyard, in Florida on an airstrip. that he shares with his neighbors. I'm sure Jett would have had better care in the US, probably Miami at a trauma center, but obviously it wouldn't have mattered given the head injury. Stop second guessing and promoting heresay. "A friend of the ambulance driver's cousin's mother's brother told me" let these people mourn their child in peace. You probably would have done ANYTHING to save your child too.

53. Most North American, South American and European wealthy (celebrities, athletes, business moguls) who have fabulous homes in The Bahamas (and other islands thoughout the Caribbean) -- those homes are mostly located in gated, guarded communities...usually at some distance away
from the residential locals.

The Bahamas is a predominantly Black nation: from the Prime Minister,
the Parliament, to regional governments, and all the professions, including the medical profession.
Travola, a pilot,
would, of course, consider flying to Florida rather than to trust his son to the care of (possibly) a Black physician in a
Black-run hospital...more than likely a perfectly fine hospital. The celebrity elites hardly ever come into contact with the Black Bahamian locals unless it is in some servile role and they are therefore unfamiliar with most community services.
Scientology played a role in Travola's decision, as well. Taking his special needs son so far away from the medical
resources in the States which the young man might require, was, sadly, tragically unwise. ---

54. The Bahamanian cops have never backed down from the timeline to Jett's death. He was last seen late at night on Jan 1 and found late morning Jan 2. The Travoltas, with all their nice family pics, and assertion of being victimized, are simply trying to elicit sympathy from the press and public, and trying to persuade everyone to look at everything else but the facts. This is classic gonzo PR. I would wager that there was absolutely no emergency when the ambulance "raced" Jett to the hospital. He was no doubt already dead, and had been for hours. That may be the gruesome reality of this story; that is that the Travoltas with their night owl ways, and their questionable taste in mannies, simply didn't know their son was in trouble until it was too late. They're foisting their delusions on others. Similarly, they chose to cut their child off anti-seizure medication, instead of finding one that might work better. Classic denial at the expense of their child's well-being. Well, there can be no inquest now, they made sure to cremate the poor boy's body with sickening haste.

55. Even IF there is some spin in all of this, at the end of the day it sounds to me like JT only wanted to have the best care for his son. Maybe they try to spin things because it's nobody's business but their own and Joe Public doesn't need to hear all the details.

It's disgusting how judgemental some of you are. What's it to you, anyway?

56. Huh? "The clock doesn't stop ticking when you land. Hospitals have helipads not landing strips for planes." So Travolta can't afford a Helicopter standing by to ferry to the hospital? Duh! So here is the deal, Scientology is stupid because they don't recognize reality, they make it up. When it comes to mental health and autism, they deny it exists. Or at the most they say all you have to do is sweat out the gremlins or some such thing. The kid likely did not get the best treatment for his autism due to the Travolta's flat out denying he even was autistic. It might not have contributed to his death, but then, it could have been THE cause. The flying to the US as the reason for the extortion? That is what they are selling us, I think it's a load of manure. I think it must be something more. How about someone knowing they took him off his anti seizure medicine? Travolta has a lot of friends and a lot of money. Maybe we will never know.

57. Gonzo PR. The Travoltas have persuaded the media to look at everything else but at the facts. The Bahamanian police maintain that Jett was last seen entering the bathroom late on Jan 1 but was found in the late morning of Jan 2. Both mannies were asleep when the boy entered the bathroom; why didn't they take their observation of the boy in shifts? I believe that in all likelihood the poor kid was dead for hours by the time someone found him. No ambulance was really required. Where were the parents? Partying. As they've said themselves, they are both night owls. Sadly, no inquest can be conducted now, since the boy was cremated within hours of his autopsy. Might have been better if the parents had kept him on at some kind of anti-seizure medication, instead of removing all of them. Sad all around. And stupid. Hope you post this TMZ, since you didn't have the guts to post my first submission.

58. FYI - It took 45 minutes to get to the hospital by ambulance because the place that they stayed is a relatively remote resort that is out of town. 45 minutes is very fast driving to get from there to the hospital. The plane trip is shorter, maybe 20 minutes, but they still would have had to take off, land, get to the hospital, etc. By the way, emergency care at the local hospital there is probably as good as in the US.

59. Here's something to consider..... if you had a chronically ill child, one who experienced seizures as frequently as has been reported with Jett, why would you PURCHASE a vacation spot someplace without thoroughly investigating their health care options first? Travolta certainly had the money and resources to make sure that there was adequate medical care NEARBY for his son before he purchased and took his family to this place. At the very least, it appears irresponsible for a parent to take their child somewhere, knowing the severity of his medical condition, without planning ahead in case of an emergency.

60. Until any of us are watching one of our kids die I don't think we can fairly judge what John went through.
