Jimmy Carter: Good Genes or Good Docs?!

As far as U.S. Presidents go, Jimmy Carter will always be 39th.

Jimmy Carter

Here's the 54-year-old during his administration back in 1978 (left) -- and the 84-year-old version (right) at a NYC bookstore on Monday.

Peanuts do the body good.

1. Jimmy Carter - love him! May have not been cut out for the presidency but he has done so much good for the U.S. and the world since leaving office. Hope he is around for a long long time. I was disappointed he didn't speak at the Dem Convention. Perhaps not asked? Too bad.

8. I don't know if they are good genes, but they are Kennedy genes. He's the illegitimate son of good old Joe Kennedy (his mother was a housekeeper at the Kennedy home - until she got pregnant).

11. Thanks for at least being nice about our former president that does so much for habitat for humanity...good grief he actually created the organization. Perez Hilton is being a total douche about him and his new book. He actually states "At his age we doubt he probably wrote the whole book himself, or even most of it, but at least he's out promoting it!". So much for me ever buying Hilton's book that I'm sure his crap-bag of a self "wrote" on his own.

15. Peggy you are right. His eyes shine because he has a great soul. He is one of my favorite people of all time. They hated him in Washington because he was honest and didn't play their games. As Obama said put away childish things. This is what Carter did in Washington. Just to remind everyone. JIMMY CARTER WAS THE FIRST PRESIDENT TO WARN THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ABOUT FINDING ALTERNATIVE ENERGY IS WAS THE HALLMARK OF HIS PRESIDENCY. NO ONE HEEDED HIS WARNINGS LOOK WHERE WE ARE NOW. The man is a pure genius. He is considered the most intelligent President hands down.
