1. She never would have been picked to sing at the Superbowl had it not been for the murders. She is not that famous. It's a pity party.

4. she is a very talented singer...more so then YOU, I dare say. Have you ever experienced the murder of a loved one?? I have, and you should be ashamed of yourself for your heartless comments.

6. Whether it's a pity party or not by her singing the National Anthem it will bring even more ratings to at least that part of the Super Bowl. Nice move for her and the network!!!

8. Great, just what we need. Some singer dragging the National Anthem out to around 5 minutes. All of the whoa-whoa-whoa's, all the screeching......Hopefully, she just sing the song and be done with it.

13. Made me go look. I thought I was losing my mind and singing wrong for the past 30 years.

TMZ is right, sooooooo how exactly have YOU been singing it Nikki?

O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!

14. huh? That's not the national anthem, that's America the Beautiful. The national anthem starts with Oh, say can you see

15. The National Anthem is not "America the Beautiful" with its sea to shining seas... sad day in Muddsville when people don't know the national anthem. I'm sure J Hud knows the words to "The Star Spangled Banner" and she'll sing it beautifully in the "land of the free and the home of the brave". I agree Whitney's rendition is hard to top but I think she'll blow it out of the water. Good for her.
