32. I like JH, and will always feel for her, to lose your mother -in any way - takes something from your life that cant be replaced. Hopefully, Jen and her sister are close, and that they can lean on each other.

Now , to get to the real stuff- Whitney DID NOT SING THE SSB LIVE-IT WAS PRE-RECORED!!!!!! It is so very difficult to sing anyway but more so dealing with the elementes ( out door ) or acustics ( in door ) . Whitney's people had to fess up, but not before people had bought millions of copies.

33. WHY DOES IT EVEN MATTER? Who really cares how long she sings it as long as she signs it well? I am very certain that she will do a good job. The person who wrote this article should be ashamed that they have no idea how our National Anthem goes! I guess any moron can work for TMZ!

FYI, Jennifer Hudson was quite at the top of her game when the tragedy took place, She had won an Oscar as well as several other prestigous awards, Additionally, she sang at the democratic convention for the man who is now President Barack Obama. Furthermore, with four grammy nominations and a dual career going, it is unlikely that she needs pity from anyone. I don't know which is more pathetic... the fact that the writer of this article does not know the difference between the National Anthem and America the Beautiful or some of the academically challenged readers on this site. Last time I checked, Hudson had 27 awards on her shelf for her acting and singing performance in the motion picture Dreamgirls, her 1st cd dropped September 30th at #2 on the charts, her 1st single hit #1 the week of October 14th... the girl (whose up for 3-4 Grammys) is not a sympathy pick and does not have to justify her talent to anyone of this site. Secondly, Hudson has performed the National Anthem several times... most noticably for Major League Baseball (Jackie Robinson Day at Dodger Stadium in 2007) and for Barack Obama at the Democratic National Convention in 2008. She sings a traditional rendition of the anthem right on the 2 minute mark (sometimes a little less sometimes a little more)... that is the reason for the wager (will she express her feelings and hold a note or two longer stretching it well past the 2 minute mark. Finally, some of you guys need to stop drinking the "HATERADE"... cause your comments are unnecessary. I commend Ms. Hudson's personal strength because if 3 members of my immediate family were executed... I don't know when or if I'd be able to go back to work (they'd might have to put me in a padded cell).

37. 17. I agree with Robin (#8), some of these (usually black) singers screech and moan and put their spin on the song and it makes me want to cringe. Just sing it the way it was written and stop trying to inject soul music into it.

40. What a dumb bet, the fix is in when the song is a fraud.
Im disappointed Jennifer Hudson lip sync'd. I find fault in her handlers, not the artist, allthough she did participate in the hoax.
Its fraudulant, not law breaking but dupery. Im not picking on her, any artist to lip sync and pass it off as live is a fraud, when the song we hear is recorded in studio, the banner on the bottom should say "previously recorded." Why in the world would pre-game show producer Rickey Minor give such advice? "NOT recommend any artist go live because the slightest glitch would devastate the performance. Thats what the superbowl is all about, pressure and performance on the biggest stage of all." Rickey Minor should be discredited. The lip sync is fact, not opionion.

41. oh my god... how can you people not know our national anthem?? I know the sea to shining sea thing wasn't meant to suggest that it's part of our national anthem but all the idiots posting that they "looked it up" and came up with America the Beautiful... way to go public school ejumakashun!!! I mean really... it's not reading TMZ's articles that makes me lose faith in our country... it's the idiots who post comments that make me want to blow us up because 96% of our states are complete useless and filled with complete morons. God Help America. oh man... I think Im going to go build a doomsday device. (watch, now my house gets raided by the FBI... Funding Benefits Idiots meaning the American people not the FBI agents themselves... most of them are competent, useful individuals) UNLIKE THE ENTIRE MIDDLE OF OUR COUNTRY oh man...
