Sully -- Silence Was Plane "Shocking"

Chesley SullenbergerWhat was the "Oh hell no" moment for Hudson hero pilot Chesley Sullenberger during his amazing splash landing? Total silence of the plane's engines.

Sully talked for the first time about the crash, since the crash, and tells ESPN, "It was very quiet as we worked, my co-pilot and I ... But to have zero thrust coming out of those engines was shocking – the silence." And he admits, despite his chill demeanor, it was all "turmoil" inside.

Side question: How will Katie Couric feel about Sully's non-silence?

3. As a single engine land licensed pilot, i praise you Sully. You are tops. A tough job done exceptionally well. Great work. I am so glad you did not go on couric's show. She would most likely have only asked you what newspaper you were reading when the engines quit. That is about the limit of her journalistic ability. narrow minded elitist liberal snob. I am SO GLAD you held yourself above her and her liberal snobbery. Great job, I would fly with you any day, anytime, with or without engines.
