If Nick Carter really wanted the public to believe him when he told People magazine that alcohol could literally end his life, he probably shouldn't have been pounding booze onstage with Steel Panther at the Key Club the other night. 
Granted it was his birthday, but for someone who's battled serious alcohol abuse, you can't claim a "sober" life when you're taking down a shot of 151.

20. Nick is amazing and I'm sooo proud of him... he even said in the interview that he does still have drinks here and there... he's more responsible with it now.. so who cares if he had a shot... it was his birthday and he was having a good time!!!

WE live a perfect life...like a smoker who keeps tellin' his self to QUIT and all that...we all make mistakes and YET people are acting like they knew what was going on... he's a celeb bastard! 23. I'm a Backstreet fan and all I can say is welcome to our world. Those 4 boys have been lying their asses off all year. First AJ and now Nick. All the fans have shown nothing but support for AJ over the past 6 years and how does this get delt with? NOTHING. No statement or anything. All the fans who sent him gifts, who personally gave him gifts on tour and helped him celebreate his sobrity year after year have been shoved under the rug because NOW they don't need or want our support, we're not good enough to be informed on whats going on. We've heard nothing out of the Backstreet Camp concerning the video of AJ, they just want the media to let it go and then leave the fans in the dust. They only "Love Us" and "Have the best fans in the world" when they are taking our money. We're the only ones who have stood by them over the past few years when everyone else turned their backs on them. Maybe we're seeing why now, all we are, are cash cows to them. KTBPA and Lie through your teeth.

27. He has alcoholic cardiomyopathy. This means that he has severely damaged his heart by drinking too much. If he continues to drink, he will die from this or need a heart transplant (which they will not give him if he is still drinking). Its a crappy way to die young.

30. I think that people should leave Nick alone. It could have been something other than alcohol in that glass. If he says that he is sober, then we should believe him. I have been a fan of Nick's and the Backstreet Boys for years and I think that his doctor's advice was followed and it could've been something non-alcoholic that he was drinking. In that people magazine, Nick said that he is clean and sober and I believe everything he said is true. Why don't people leave Nick alone and worry about your own problems.
