A-Roid Confesses -- Cheater, Cheater, Cheater

Alex "The Fraud" Rodriguez just 'fessed up to taking performance-enhancing drugs while playing for the Texas Rangers during a three-year period beginning in 2001.

A-Rod: Click to watch
Cheater Rodriguez told ESPN's Peter Gammons, "When I arrived in Texas in 2001, I felt an enormous amount of pressure. I needed to perform, and perform at a high level every day."

Liar Rodriguez continued, "Back then, [baseball] was a different culture. It was very loose. I was young, I was stupid, I was naïve. I wanted to prove to everyone I was worth being one of the greatest players of all time."

Ruiner of Sports Rodriguez also said, "I did take a banned substance. For that, I'm very sorry and deeply regretful."

Blah, blah, blah cheater.

31. Post a poll asking how many people think he is still taking performance enhancers. Once a cheat always a cheat.

32. ok so what??? what has his confession changed? nothing! baseball had this information for how many years? they did nothing. the rangers had the information. they did nothing. the toothpaste is out of the tube with steroids and baseball. you cannot distinguish between players in the record books now because we don't know who was on the juice or not in the past.

a-hole confessed. he did this to stop prosecution in its tracks. he did this to try to save his legacy. he did this to stop looking foolish for telling what we all know was a lie. congratulations a-hole, you told the truth. you are such a role model.....

alex, no matter how much pressure was on you, or who else was doing it, you broke the rules and then you lied about it. you could have been the best ever 'naturally' rather than what you are now - a joke. you're a loser and a douchebag...go and run to your granny/tranny girlfriend and cry in her arms, you pussy.

33. Let's make this clear...steroids had been banned in baseball since 1991 when they were made illegal by Congress. It's just that they weren't tested for until 2003. So they were both banned and illegal at the time he was doing them. Like most baseball fans, I have really mixed feelings about this, but let's at least have the facts straight before debating them.

37. Oh here we go---he only did while at texas, never while as a yankee....yeah right...this freaking DR never stops lying does he? He lies until he's caught again----Jose Canseco please write another book, so far you're the only one who has told the truth about these cheaters.

Freaking A-Hole A-Roid who was born in the USA, raised in the USA but elected to play with the DR during the World Classic Series not the USA....ok good A Hole, than take your cheating self to the DR and live there. We dont want you here anymore.

I'll bet that Big Poppy, Manny, Aramis, Soriano, Sosa, and a ton of other DR's are as dirty as you turned out to be...They're all cock fighting promoters over there----they hate animals they'll cheat too. Liars and Losers the whole lot of them all.

And Manny says no to 25m a year to LA? Test his big mouth and see what he says then.

38. The only question left is how many years of “lifetime stats” have to be removed from this disgusting steroid and HGH era? I say Henry Aaron has the lifetime HR record.

39. As much as I hate this scumbag...at least he admitted it unlike Clemens or Bonds. So though he's a cheater and he deserves the same asterisk, at least he fessed up when someone called him out on it instead of lying to the world.

40. I know a lot of people will be angry at him, and rightly so, but I do have to commend him for coming forward and admitting he made a mistake. Look how many players are accused and lie or never comment. I would rather tell my child to look up to someone like him who comes forward and apologizes than someone like Barry Bonds who will never admit to doing anything wrong. Good for you A-Rod! You are forgiven in my book.

41. It should be expected from a guy who calls himself a Rod. How else is he supposed to maintain his rod?

42. Wow you guys are tough! So I take it none of you have ever made a mistake? None of you wish you can take something back that you did? Haven't you ever been so ashamed of something and denied that you did it? Forgive and forget!

43. You gotta give it to this *player for choosing to fess up during the Chris Brown/Rihanna scandal. Nice heavy curtains to hide behind Mr.* lol

Yes we all make mistakes but we don't profit off our drug use by raking in millions of dollars off a professional contract, endorsement deals and public appearances.

That's like saying if I start taking Acid and Ecstacy to highten my design skills and charge 10x's as much for services, its ok. I doubt it.

ps. I know I'm a screw up.. I'd love to be a politician but because of my past, there is no way I'd stay out of the gossip columns.

45. What difference does it make he will get a slap on his wrist. It is disgraceful how these athletes get away with everything an illegal drug is an illegal drug and if they want to start enforcing harsher punishments now is the time Kids look up to these athletes more then any Celeb so make them be accountable for there actions bad or good whats the difference in a month we will see him on the cover of the sports section and they will be praising him so I think for our kids sake hold them responsible and the NFl has bigger prob;ems then any other sports orginization they need to crack that whip
